Well, looking at the Calendar, better get my butt in gear if I'm going to finish by the end date. Here's some progress pics on the cockpit interior of the 1/32 Hasegawa Frank. A lot of detail for an OOTB build. Painted mostly with Vallejo acrylics.

More pics next week, hopefully Smile [:)].

Regards, Rick

Marc, Joe, Richard:
Thanks for the encouragement. I'm having fun building this one. I've got the bigger markings on, and will be putting the smaller ones on as the week progresses. Then on to final assembly and -- completion! Photos to follow...

I'm still sanding the cockpit area of my Ford. Got a little carried away with it and popped the wing off. Now that I've gotten that taken care of I just have to finish sanding the new putty smooth. She'll be heading for the paint shop towards the end of the week.

Looks good Dave. The Tamiya P-47D's are my all time favorite kits. Yours should be a winner when completed.

Jerry:
Your cockpit is looking great! Keep it up - I can't wait to see the rest...

Until then, take a look at the paint job on my Tamiya Razorback:

I think I'll be able to finish it up by the end of the month...

You're right, but the cockpit looks even better the 2nd time around. The sublte highlighting (drybrushing) is really effective.

Jerry

That is one nice looking build on a great subject! My pleasure to update the list for this one!

Razor

The Fort is looking great...radial should be done deep in the back of the throat, with a bit of a warble...

After a fabulous week of fishing in Canada, I finally completed my entry in the GB. This is Tamiya's Dornier. This kit is typical Tamiya quality, and would recommend it to anyone who hasn't built one. I know...it's an awkward looking thing...down-rite homely, but it in the end, she grew on me, and now i like it. This aircraft, although never flown in combat, had many state of the art features which made some interesting reading. Pretty cool stuff.

Anyhoo......I hope you guys like the build.

Jerry

Anwhoo... I've been plugging away at my Hasegawa 1/72 B-17 and got her closed up (yes Rick I did add some seat belts) and the wings on. I always love this stage, nice clean lines and its safe to play with them and make airplane noises. Big Smile [:D]http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y211/razordws/B17.jpg

So I am NOTthe onlyone that does thatSmile [:)] Must be loud with 4 engines. I just got the wings onmy FW 190 D so I know what you mean... but i would have to learn "radial" for yours.... i only speak "In-line" at the momentBig Smile [:D]

Build lookin' good.

I just realized there is only a month left in this GB!!Shock [:O] Where does the time go?

Fit is pretty good on the wings but the clear parts are a mess. I sprayed some OD on her when I was touching up the P-51 (making a camo in the background there) to check the fit on the windows before I closed it up. Had to take a couple out and file stuff down. still not perfect but good enough for me.

Yay! I'm finally a winner! Don't know why the TriMotor came to me, maybe it was because I was dead-tired and going through hallucinations? Big Smile [:D]

Opening my Me-262 as we speak, it is a bit old so the decals are yellowed *sigh*

No available sunlight either. Darn Denver, "Over 300 sunny days a year" my tailfeathers!

And we have a winner. I found a R/M rererererelease of the venerable tin goose at hobby lobby the other day. It's an odd scale, has NO interior what so ever and I am having issues with the accuracy of some of the parts (namely the tailwheel). Assembly is straight forward and, except for where the wing attaches to the fuselage, no bad seams. The clear parts are also junk but they are usable. When finished she will be in TAT livery.

Nice Saber! I really should visit this thread more often. Due to work, I haven't been able to even open up the Me-262's box! I'll try to rectify this situation shortly, God willing.

Now Chris, what have I told you about playing with your models?? Now look what you went and did. Can you order a new one??

Third clue: She has a high wing and she's a tail dragger.

Sad [:(] I'm not sure how I lost it but it has just disappeared. Looked all over my work bench and under it as well and all over the house. (And I know my dog didn't eat it)
