Im sure any time being in the middle east seems like forever! Glad he's back home with you and your family.

So does anyone else have this week off? Ive got all week off for Thanks giving! Yay!(until June when we still have an extra week because of this) I am happy though.

I should get alot done on my stug this week. I just need to add some damage to the road wheels (one side left) and send her to the paint shop. So hopefully I get alot done.

(well while everyone is off topic) BASKETBALL IS SOO COOL! i was on the team in grade school, but i was never played becuz the coach didnt think i was good, so he just played all the people he thought were "good" and that their $*&% smelled like roses..... so i quit tryin out for the team, so i just play everyday during lunch (open gym!!!) i avg. like 10 pts a game Big Smile [:D]

i get half od wednesday, and thurs and fri off for thanksgiving..

WHAT HAPPENED?!?!?!!? i suddenly got a blast of inspiration and went leaps ahead in my dio!!! i got the sidewalk ALL DONE!!! put tiles on the floor of the barber shop, the store windows on the facade cut, (half) are paned, cut the windows for it, cut the corner facade piece, with the windows, made rubble (by hitting sum dryed putty i have in to a million pieces) and fixed up some things on the sdkfz!!! WOW!!!! thats soooooo much done!!! and in 2 DAYZ!!!! if only i had more days like this i would be done in two weeks tops!!!

ok, here are some pics.

This is a basic layout of the dio. The red box and wooden thing are representations of the 2 buildings I will have. One will be made from scratch. Sorry for the lack of detail in the pics. On the left side are piles of rubble and there is now a shell hole in the upper right.

Some progress on the StuG, Stowage is all done. Its not glued in place yet, I want to paint them off the tank. She is going to get some primer on tomorrow as well as some red oxide paint. The over all paint scheme will be dark yellow with a a good deal of weathering. Remember she's one of the few tanks in Berlin.

Here is my empty jerrycan. Its not 100% accurate but its about 85% there. There is a small tube thing that should be in the hole. I made the can open and empty to show the conditions of fuel supply in Berlin's final days, desprate.

***I just noticed there are some injector pin marks on the spare tracks. I'll see if those are very visible to the naked eye and if they are deffinetly fix them. The injector pin marks on the back of the manlet are being taken care of (putty drying) but they may have to be covered up by a manlet tarp if I cant sand them enough. ***

comments welcome!

I"M BACK ,COMRADES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, That was a pretty scary journey, but now im back on finescale. Because of this new (grumble) Fourum (rahter spiffy, by the way (inster winking smilie cause I m too lazy to find it on that verdunken list)). But now, Im back, and rest assured Im the same sergei youve come to know and love. Glory to the Motherland! see?

Ok Im back, and I sort of have progess, but I forgot lots of stuff, and I got superglue all over my hands, and do you think It's okay to seal open wounds with gap filler and ca?

And I painted something On the sprew and Have realized that this is a bad idea, and I finally got around to flatcoating the watchimajigger, this one:

P.S., thats the dio Im planning, with a tree-lookin thing in the background. But, unfortunately, because of those two guys sticking out og the BMP, Ill need to scrathbuild a rudimentary interior (read as: 2 boxes and a wall). Unfortunatrely, despite the delicious smount of working hatches on this kit, ill have to keep it un-put-together until I build that, which will probably be well after christmas (when the blockade breaks and a small amount of modelling equiptment flows to the starved villagers of my basement)

So, for now, Ill just have to fend off the crickets there with my baseball bet. its sort of disgusting, because as soon as I smush one their friends come out to feast upon his rent carcass, and I have to crush them too.

So, ta ta for now, and Nice work, and spiffy sigs (winking thing again)

I dont. Its rather disgusting. And then I have to clean up all the yellow goo that comes out...and count their legs to make sure you got all of it...and then when they try to jump away at the last second and you only get half of them, and to other half starts flopping around...Urgh...

ya, I dont even squish em. I just capture them in a cup and throw them outside. Different situation with the spiders though, I hate spiders.I get lots of wierd bugs out in my shop, and the cold is bringing in more.

Back from London. Am thoroughly disgruntled by blatant disply of opulence royal family engages in. Am thinking treasonous thoughts. Am contemplating what else besides 13 inch thick steel doors guards Crown Jewels in Tower of London. Am deciding it is worth a try. A,m ceasing to write in ridiculous truncated sentences. So I'm back. No prgress obviously. Sergei's back. He'll probably have something to say about royal families....

I decided to switch my build to my (I think) Revell 1/700 CVL kit I have. I already started it, only on like step 3 though, is that still fine? It's the only kit I'm making progress on.
On a side note, how do you edit your signature?

HEY SERGEI!!!! your alive!!! good to know!!   i know how you feel....i have this bug here RIGHT NOW!!! its weird lookin...its got like orange stripes on it...i think i threw him outside once before...so he got bakc in i guess...well for the effort ill let him live.. which reminds me of something that my friend found:

"Filming on location for Walker: Texas Ranger, Chuck Norris brought a stillborn baby lamb back to life by giving it a prolonged beard rub. Shortly after the farm animal sprang back to life and a crowd had gathered, Chuck Norris roundhouse kicked the animal, breaking its neck, to remind the crew once more that Chuck giveth, and the good Chuck, he taketh away."

anywho....no real progress here...ive been away during thanksgiving and cant find time now....but i got a lot done lately....which makes me happy..

hehehehe Chuck Norris.....-DJ

Ahh, just post if you got a questionWink [;)] I have a dio planned for a civil war period. I have seen a few, all of them have some scattered rebs behind a fence. My Idea is to do the shoulder to shoulder combat that actually took place, often times in the open fields. (I want to do some Irish brigade in the Wheatfield at Gettysburg)

Oh, and your book is wrong, Its called the VirginiaBig Smile [:D]

well, since i broke off last time, ive been busy this fall.  bunker still slow, but i went to syrcon, and cleveland.  got some GREAT stuff at cleveland.  ill post up pics if i can.  didnt enter juniors at syrcon, went adults with the pz. and the VAvsMonitor.  only the ships got anything, which as it turned out was best ships, in adult.  at cleveland i went all in juniors, but lost to a girl with a really well done bust (no pun intended....well yes) of captain Jack from Pirates of the Carribean.  still got a load of golds and a silver.  cleveland is a great show BTW, tons of vendors, great quality of entries too.  there was even a guy selling prefabricated spraybooths, with lighting, fans, filters, the works.  too pricey for me though (triple digit $) and id rather build mine anyway, someday.  but still great shows.....they wont get the same luck next year, my next project will make sure of thatMischief [:-,]
