Okay I'm back on my home system.

Donut, you are added to the list sir.  Cant wait to see the little PzII.

Anthony, Glad you could get you LAV up and running looking forward to it.

PanzerWulf.  I'll ditto the comment on the Stuarts floorboards......looks awesome. How are you planning on opening it up for display?

I've got one more night of work before I'll be off for a week.  Look for the Bulldog to be completed soon.  (If I dont change my mind and change the whole camo thing. :) )

Cj I am going to have all the hatches WIDE open I was even going to have some of the Pistol ports open but i forgot and closed them up.Dunce [D)] at least the driver & machinegunner's hatches are large and show off quite a bit while the commander and gunners hatches show off a bit of the turret. Theres such a good interior on the kit that I am actually thinking of getting another and building it as a CutawayMischief [:-,] I wish I had some US infantry weapons or japanese ones to put inside though I am actually making a Samaurai sword and maybe a japanese flag as trophies

Good news, I got my Panther done, and started my LAV-25, looking foward to this because this is my first modern piece. I got most of the under hull done, but I have to wait till tommorrow for the putty to dry on the two hull halfs so I can sand it. I will post pics tommorrow!

Hey Donut...so does your set of directions have a color chart in english for this kit?

I have the same kit, and the color page is in Japanese.  It does me no good since my 2nd language is French (and I'm no master of that).

Anthony, that LAV is gonna look totally cool.

The suspension for the front tires looks very interesting.....never noticed it was different than the rear before.

Okay making progress on the Bulldog.

I went ahead and attempted the tissue-paper mantlet cover and I'm about 80% pleased.  I still nedd to finish painting the tissue so we'll see how it comes out.

While I was at it aI made some tissu paper rucksacs....bags whatever for positioning on the hull.  Im thinking of using them to replace the rather poorly made tool set included with the kit.......

Note the front right fender in the pictures....which stowage looks better to you guys?

Last of all I need to do the tracks and pastel the hull.  I want to rust out the mufflers as well because all my research states the Bulldog ran so hot that the mufflers almost glowed when running. Paint didnt last long on them.

(oh yeah the guy in the cupola is an unpainted Russian tank jockey with no arms I just stuck in for scale)

Wow! It's a beauty so far.  I like the mantlet, turned out great.  I don't see the bags clearly but it looks good.

Cool LAV.

What are those dangling things on the sides? Tie downs?

Allright boys and girls......

The Tamiya M41 Walker Bulldog is ready for action at last.

For such an old kit, and not being very generous with details, this was still a fun build, and I am pleased with the results.

The semi-winter camo turned out better than I thought, easpecially after the wash and pastels.

With the exception of the tissue-paper mantlet cover and stowage bags, everything is OOB.

Enjoy, and feel free to critisize.

As mentioned earlier, the mufflers ont he M41's were known to run so hot that they virtually glowed. The result was very poor paint coverage, and quick rusting. I accomplished this with various pastels.

Such a sunny day for winter camo.  :)

Front end close-up.

More mufflers

For rubber-band tracks with only one side of detail, I think they turned out fairly decent.  Your opinions may vary.  ;)

Thats it.  Feel free to comment.

I've been in an armor mood this weekend, so I made a lot of headway on my Semovente.  I'm going to do a little "clean up" on it, then lay out the running gear on some masking tape so I can spray base color later this evening.  Smile [:)]

Ok! Now that I'm not too bad at modeling and weathering, I might rework my Stuart a bit.

Hi Gang-

Sorry for lack of info, I'm both extremely busy at work, and I have a family.

No excuse, I know, sorry.

So, about this build, I've got the Pzkpfw II built, and in the process of painting it, and I was going to show off (err, submit to humiliation and ridicule) what I've done so far, and I can't find out how to attach pics.

I haven't built and painted a model in 20 years, it's going to suck rocks, but I thought I'd show it off anyway, and ask for advice on how to proceed.

...so, about that picture attaching thing?

[Edited cuz it' late and I'm a blonde]

Let's rattle the cage, crack the machine. Let 'em know who you are, shine to be seen.

Dont know about everyone else, but what I do is use Photobucket.com to host my pics.

The good points here are : 1--Its free....and 2--It really is Free.

Just register for free (they dont send me any spam so dont worry) and then hit this button that will allow you to browse for your photo to upload  to Photobucket.

Once that is done, you should see your pic with a few HTML tags beneath it.  Just copy and paste the IMG tag as indicated directly into your post here and voila its done!

This is just one method....there are lots of free photo hosting sites, but they all work similarly.
