O dear, it seams that the black hole swallowed my wheel, and that I'll have to order the True Details set (hopefully my mom will make my sister pay for it). Or, if anyone could send me a replacement, I'll PM you with my adress.

I don't have any spare P-11 wheels, but I do have a spare pair from an Avia B-534. They are a little larger than a P-11's wheels, the P-11 Heller wheels are 11mm and the B-534 wheels are 12mm, but using 2 of them it shouldn't be that noticable, maybe? If you want them, they are yours.

Future 'em twice, dip 'em in, and let them sit for about 10 seconds,  Use lots of water, as they like to fold and need to be drowning if they are to unfold. However, they are opaque and don't silver.

huh? Question [?]

Building aircraft, yup, thats fun. Pre-WW2 Polish aircraft? Its history! And fun.

Now, if you were referring to the "great lost wheel search", fun? Not so much. Funny on occassion, true, but not fun. And frustrating at times, even. Tongue [:P]

it was a reply to rudy's "accident". it was funny, in a sadic way, not fun, funny.

Yeah, I know. I don't understand that. I'm using flat black, but for some reason when I photograph it, and my other aircraft as well, it comes out all manner of shiny. Maybe its the flash?

Either that, or I just got a crappy batch of flat black. Well, bottles almost empty, so its time to get a new one anyhow.

Oh, I am not finished yet, young grasshopper. Have a few decals to put on the RWD-8 and its finished, and yet another aircraft (which I told you about inadvertantly in the PM about the wheels) near on half finished now. Wink [;)]

I wouldn't say the P.24 could be included here. That plane was export only. Eh, if it's Polish designed or operated, bring it on!!!!!

Well, it was a Polish built derivitive of the P-11 much like the P-43 was a derivitive of the P-23. Both were designed for the export market, but were built by PZL.

Kinda like looking at a Mustang, Tomahawk/Kityhawk, Martlet/Wildcat, Mitchell or Corsair in British markings. Still US built even though they fly with differant colours.

I don't think it would be easy to convert the P.23 to the P.43:

I think a conversion to the P.42 would be easier:

A bit longer nose, a differant cowling, differant exhaust piping, the starboard fuselage with the twinned filters directly below the cockpit and above the starboard exhaust......I just look at it as an interesting challenge. Never said it would be an easy challenge. Big Smile [:D]

Ya but my point is that the P.24 and P.43 weren't used by Poland, for some unknown reason.

something I was quite aware of. really. honest.

I do try and use my history degree for something other than gathering dust...on occassion. LOL

Besides, I have a fair decent set of books on the Bulgarian AF. Lots of nifty pics! Thats what got me interested in the P.43 to start with. Figured it would be an interesting project. Same with the P.24 I am currently doing.
