most of the seams on the hguc mkII are sanded finally.  i am probably gonna paint him AEUG color instead to go with my MkII collection, 3 other HGUC, MG original one (need to get finished and painted), MG Super Gundam (will be painted Titans color instead), MG V2.0 aeug and titans (will be painted aeug color to combine the g-defensor into Super Gundam ver 2.0).

Well the Zgok is still a work in progress but I am waiting on my Gunda Weapons book on Marine mobile suits to come in so that I may get a better idea of how to do the monoeye.  I want to get the monoeye done before i start pulling the other pieces together.  So in the mean time I am workin on so Warhammer 40K stuff.  The book should be in some time this week.  Maybe next week I will have a bit more progress done.  That's all I have for now.

I also have a MG Zaku Rmaba Ral Custom that I'm modifying little to look like the drawing in the construction manual... No idea when I will finish this one though I'm trying to finish the build in next week or so before I move onto painting

been experimenting another colour scheme with Dom.
what do you think?

first one is cold climate type, followed by tropical type and then standard scheme

ya works piled up here along with packing for a move but never the less i have been working on the kits little by little and NDK hasn't helped out any, especially with the buget. i went in with 225+ dollars and came out with a -$13. well that has killed my ability to pay bills. oh well it is worth it. well anywho other than packing to move i really don't have much else to do so i gotta get working on the kits i am hoping to have most of the Tallgeese done by halloween, hopefully i will only have the engins left to do. (uggghDunce [D)] that is going to be a pain in the rear) well gotta go to get to work on the kits cu

I will work some more on the Zgok this weekend.  Work has been a pain so I haven't had time to work on my models.  The monoeye base I had come up with split in two again.  So I plan on scuplting what I need.  I will post some pics on Sunday.

yah i knpow that one frogfoot i have a few things going on here also trying to find a new apt to move into since i am sick of this one and the cats got sick so my buget is absolutley shot all to heck and i got bills to pay but i have started to make progress on the Tallgeese i ended up over loading the paint on the shoulder armour and of course it is glued together around the shoulder joint which of course is perfectly doneQuestion [?] so i have to remove the paint but tha turned out to work pretty well cause the paint was on so thick it ended up cracking all over and it just plucked right off of the first layer of paint ten it took some sanding and now it is just perfect and waiting to get repainted as for NDK i wasn't able to get any photos of any kits not that any were all that spectacular and considering there were only like 3 gundams and they were done by some really young kids. although they showed promise these kits were not all that well done. but gotta start somewhere right. but otherwise it was really fun and i got myself in some major debt with it to. cause i picked up a super gundam and am looking at adding that to the chop job i am building. i do hope that next year i will be able to enter my kits into the competition. oh well. and to all those who are not posting be ready for some pm-ing when i finally figure the system out. oh well i will hopefully have some picks from the con up on my photobucket soon so i will see you later.

Sorry for my lack of progress, life and school got in the way. As for my Gundam I sanded the putty off the seams today and filled in a few spots that I missed. So tommorrow I will sand the seams once again, and if all goes right it should be ready for painting Sunday.

Okay guys this is your wakeup call lets get building!!!!! i have done quite a bit on the Tallgeese III but kinda screwed up my right shoulder armour but it looks like the screw up is going to work out alright since what i did was just put to much paint on top of other paint the over paint job is cracked up and is breaking off quite easy but i won't be able to finish that until monday or later since this weekend is NDK( nan-desu-con) anime convention here in denver colorado. i will have progress pics up soon after NDK and if i see a few good kits i will be picking them up and take shots of other builds there and post them for you all for some idea gathering. i will pm those who do not give a progress report or pick of the current progress to get you going(lets just hope i can figure out how to do it.Question [?]) anyways i will talk to you guys later.

Well I still haven't received my Dom from HLJ.  I did set the shipping to SAL and not EMS.  Big mistake there.  I ordered a 1/144 Powered GM and two Flexible Display Stands via EMS well after the DOM and the GM w/ stands arrived today.  Grrrrr.....

Anyway, I should be able to get back to work on the Z'Gok this afternoon.  Cleaning house and paying bills just takes too long!

Laterz........

I started work back on my Gundam, after getting a few other kits out of the way. Only got the seams filled in with putty, so I might do some sanding today. That is my least favorite part of Gundam kits when you have seams to fill.

mustang sorry no idea on the ZZ, I am not very good at modding my kits.

wait a competition in lafayette do you mean colorado? if so what are the dates and where is it held i might have to finish my Tallgeese III and enter that or finish one of my other diorama kits that i have been wanting to finish like the crashed A-6 Intruder. through out moving a few times the kit is now beyond repair cause so many parts are missing but it would do great in a crash seen just have to make a crash site and paint the jet and add damage and weathering. but anywho onto the gundams i haven't goten to much done on the ZZZ but i have gotten some done on the T III i finally have painted the shoulders and am almost ready to detail them though i don't think i let the glue sit long enough so it kinda has some areas were the parts go together show. but i will figure out how to cover that up prob with sanding and detail lines but we will see i am hoping to finish the shoulders tommarrow so i can move onto the engines or head what ever is next in the instructions. but i will post pics soon i have to go and get a new digital so i can return my friends here. and i suck at drawing so i can't really do the drawing idea on the ZZZ so if you have any ideas on the moding please let me know cause i am stumped.

A Mejias: Yep I am probably going to go with a Blue-Gray and Light-Tan.

I posted updates to my In-Progress thread.  The links to the pics are there.  But here is a highlight... Head torpedoes are in place, the vision slits are cut out, and the shoulders have had styrene added with a bit of detail.  I still need to finish adding the detail to the right shoulder.  I am also repositioning where the upper arm connects to the claw.  By doing this the Z-Gok's arms will hang more to it's sides.

I am hoping to enter the modeling competition at Gator Con '06 in Lafayette on the 28th of Oct.

Enjoy!

Malich: Thanks for the link. Are you going to use the same blue and tan or another variation?

mustangs102: Too about the Dendrobium! It sounded like a really good deal.

Have you tried sketching out some possible plans for you weapons platform? That's usually how I work out mod ideas. I throw most of them out -- which saves a lot of time in the end, because I'm not building potential failures. ;)

well okay the guy who was going to sell me the Dendrobium skipped town on me and i come to find out that he was just selling it to get drugs so that went through the floor but oh well NDK is coming up!!! i have posted the progress on the small Dendrobium and the ZZZ and the meteor kits and if you can give me any suggestions plaese let me know i need to figure a way to combine the three together and yet still make the ZZZ seperateable and transformable and to make the weapons platfor (Meteor and Dendrobium) a little transformable also if you have any ideas let me know it is easier to just let you go check the photo album out since i have so many photos and the project goes for so long. well anyways Malich nice scheme should look real nice when done. for a suggestion on how to hold the eye on i would use a bit of the part trees to hold it to a part or several areas of the inside of the head. well i don't have much else to say at the moment i finally have restarted work on the Tallgeese III and should be done witht the shoulders come the end of next week i may have to just put a few kits aside in order to finish one and then continue on the next. well cu laters.

That would be cool. Thanks! Better yet post it here for all to see. :) I think it's going to look really cool on your modded kit!

The color scheme is from a pic I grabbed somewhere off of the internet.  Not sure where I got it from.  If you want I can email it to you.

I finished the torpedo heads and have them mounted now.  Since I cut all of the vison slots out I need to come up with a way to mount the eye.  I was thinking of cutting some strips of styrene and adding them as a backing to the vision slots.  I would paint them black and drill out the area I want to have the Mono-eye in.

Malich: Is that your own color scheme or a reference book?

Yeah like I said I like all of the amphibious Mobile Suits.  I would love to do a Zeon Jukon (refit) like in the opening of 0080 War in the Pocket.  Do/did Bandai make a Jukon Model?  If not what would I use for a base ship to start with?

I posted my Zugock in progress thread in the Sci-Fi section.  The last pic of the Zugock has the color scheme I am going with.

Hey Mustang, would you add my Zugock to my group build list.  Thanks!

Hey Malich what method of shipping did you use? The Z'Gok'E is one of my favorite mobile suits also. No progress for me trying to finish a old 1/144 Rick Dom.

Well I am still waiting on my Dom from hobby Japan.  I figured it would have been here by now but to no avail it hasn't shown up.  However I did do some modeling this weekend.  I worked on a 1/144 Zugock-E.  I am a big fan of the Amphibious Mobile Suits.  Once I get my 1/144 kits done I plan on picking up some 1/100 scale versions.

Okay, I am done with the Zaku.  Not done as in finished but I just can't take it anymore.

So my 1/144 HGUC Dom should be here by Monday or Tuesday.  I may do some testing on the zaku's feet but that will be the last of the work done on it.  So scratch one Zaku and add the Dom.

Thanks,

Rich

I airbrushed the skin and white so far. Still need to airbrush the rest of the dress and the shoes. Hair still needs a another coat. And I am not looking forward to painting the eyes very much.
