I won't have a poppy to wear tomorrow, but I'll wear it in my heart.  Regardless of country, to those who have served and those serving wherever you are your nations thank you.

Now, I'll take one St Pauli girl and whatever she brings with her on the serving tray if you please!Mischief [:-,]

Wonderful tribute from the CAG! Our Veterans Day is coming as well. 11 Nov is the actual day I believe on the anniversary of the War to End all Wars end.  Pity some seem to have missed that memo.

Now there are present matters that have me concerned as well.

Seems that there have been a trend of injuries amonst the crew lately.  We need to  reflect and brief on our safety proceedures here once again with 2 injuries I know and myself still recovering from one.

Dave has broke a pinky playing basketball and Frank our own XO was involved in a vehicular stunt accident. ( Wild man)

Since Dave posted his injury all dressed and treated I thought it only appropriate to show Frank as well to avoid concerns and rumors about his current condition.

As you can see there is a lot of Damage where the optivisor was forced into his skull during the collision and has kinda permanently attached itself to his head. The removal was a touch and go procedure. But he looks like he will be fine once the bandages are removed.

Now to review some guidlines abaord this ship!

  1. Never drink alone and always check yer cup for er shall we say " Bondo Residue"

2. Always build and paint yer models in a well ventilated area and remember to breath between the fumes! Flattulance can be fatal and a silent killer!

 3. Don't mistake your paint thinner bottle for the rum bottle.

 4. If you fall overboard I got dibbs on yer rum ration.

5. No more than 6 woman at a time. Unless they are related to each other.

6.  Always dress the XO and Dave up with a hemet of sorts.

7. Don't sail while texting or pass out on the rail road tracks.

8. When you cant tell if your deficating or puking or both happen simultaniously it is time to switch brands of booze.

9. Never ever let Bondo near the punch bowel!

and lastly 10.  Don't antagonize , feed or date alligators, Grizzly bears, or any other wild animals that can kill you. This includes jealous Gothy girls as well.

Thank you for your time and remember these are not just words! But Words to live another day by!.

Thank you and goodnight!

Why do the guidelines for safe behavior always get published AFTER something happens? Sigh [sigh]  Healing up slowly, but today I can hold my coffee cup with one hand again! Big Smile [:D]

Reminder that if you have mailed off or recieved your FAA Christmas gift exchange please let me know via PM.  I'm keeping track of it in case something happens, i.e. it gets lost then I can get a replacement gift in the mail in time.  Make sure you get it mailed in enough time to arrive before Christmas.  Again if you have any questions or concerns please PM me.

Roy, I just have to wrap my gift and send it so no worries from this end.  I will email you when I have done so.

After having giving up my work space for a week and mending fingers at the same timeI have been able to make some progress.

Both main wings are complete and I've taped it up to check the alignment.  Needed a fair bit of putty where the extra sprue was added to smooth it out.

Gave the wings a coat of Mr. Surfacer and a light sanding.  I'm happy with how they turned out.  They just need the ailerons now.

Next up are the tail surfaces.  Hmmm... nothing I can salvage here.

Traced out a template from the plans and built up several layers of sheet styrene to get the thickness needed.  The heavy duty kitchen scissors came in handy for cutting the thick styrene.

Here it is cut and filed to shape, now I just need to shape the leading edge.

Oh my aching head......................the Nationals, the drinking, the plastic..........uurrrghhhhhh......

(One cup of tea later.)

Aahhh! GOOD MORNING CHAPS!!Pirate [oX)]

I am happy to inform you all that the UK Nats was a great success and spent way too much money as usual. I shall be posting pics of the good stuff in due course. Right now I am on leave and taking a short break from FAA airframes. I shall be finishing off my Arnhem diorama and working on my 1/72 Italeri Ju-86, as well as an uber-cool sci-fi build I've been wanting to play with when I get time. Two weeks leave for me then!! Whoo-Hoo! Big Smile [:D]

My next FAA build is on the drawing board already, it will be something I not done before and will stretch my resourses and modelling skills (well, what little I have Blush [:I]) to the limit. Hence why one is taking a short break and building other models for a bit.

I will of course still be here to make sure you all behave yourselves.Pirate [oX)]Make a Toast [#toast]

So Dave can reconstruct old kits and make them fabulous with one arm tied behind his back eh? Is there anything he can't do?

Well Roy it seems things have been a bit quiet on the Christmas exchange news here.  I just wanted to annouce publically that my gifts are ready to send off tomorrow. Being the kinda fellow I am interested in the covert and cunning!  I have included several decoys to throw off any would be early box opener!

The whole deal is wired and set with various Vietnam surplus gizmo's to splatter any would be early opener or excessive box shaker!  The decoys are filled with special sausage shaped gifts from Bruno and Spazz ( the Doggies) to give added nitrate power to the charges!  Learned that trick digging out bat poop from the caves!

So according to the anarchist cookbook which was a bit weak and needed revising in parts I have set the ultimate anti early opening trap for any unwary recepricant ( victim) who was chosen at random by Capt Roy!

How is everyone doing?  Should be getting close to mail off times. Nov 10th already ACK!

A big thanks to my wife Dee who wrapped up the works for me!  I kinda stink at that sorta thing especially after cooking up the poo poo!

Thanks for the update Aaron.  All the names were put in a can and I picked one each for the group.  Had to only redo one when I picked someone's own name.
