Fleet Air Arm Group Build

Admiral your Heineken, this is the lil lady if she is accepted as she sits at the moment.

OK, finally done with fifteen 1/400 L'Arsenal Swordfish in two different camo schemes. No rigging.  There are torpedoes under some and external fuel tanks for all.

Construction wasn't easy (times 15) and many a Stringbag was sent to the maintenance depot to deal with collapsed struts. As to be expected, by the tenth or so Swordfish I got better at construction but let's just say I'm not planning on repeating this endeavor any time soon. 

WOW Crop those are really tiny tiny! Love the camo on them! Now that I see how small they really are....um.... yeah the rigging joke is over lol. Well Done!!

Forgot to post the progress on the Camel, she's finished now so will post a few of the last ones and finished pic for the update!

Well, thanks for livening things up but yer gonna hafta repaint it in Fleet Air Arm colors if you are gonna be legal here!

Mac -- nice scene. I especially like the guy with his head  in the cowling.  Adding figures doing something makes the modeling work so much more evocative.

Will there be a 2017 GB for this one? If so I would like to join.

Funny thing, my wife was out drinking with Captain Bondoman, and he was whining about getting out his 1/400 "Lusty"...

She wasn't impressed and took away his beer.

So this build us still going? I'd like to get in. Just moved and finishing up new hobby room, so need something to build . Have way too many USMC aircraft in stash anyway/ Will be nice to actually finish a GB!

I just looked for first one in stash and this jumped out. Its the AMT 1/520 USS Akron/Macon. Not sure which version I will build. Expect to start early next week.

I've got this in the que to build a Sea Harrier. Funny thing it's the only FAA kit in my stash

John, as you know doubt remember the subject alternates between FAA and RAF, and since no one can remember by now where we are either one is fine.  I'm doing a Tamiya Lancaster.  When we get enough guys having fun we can get back into that rotation, eh?

I still haven't forgotten my Stingbag.

My bust I saw pics of US marked aircraft, must have been from first or second year of GB. I'll find another, got to be a Sea Fury in stash.
