Primed the Hellcat this evening and the fuselage gaps are unacceptable.  Broke out the masking tape and Mr. Surface 500 and I think I have the situation under control-will probably try to sand it down tomorrow after work.  With a bit of luck, might even get a coat of sky on the underside.

Part I is now out of print, which is why I just had to have it! if you see these books get them them while they are still around!

Darren I've got both of those books and they are without a doubt the best Spitfire references that I have.

Frank-

to the best of my knowledge, all Spitfires share the same dihedral......be careful bending the wings, I did that and went a bit too far!! Clown [:o)] Then I had to start all over again.......I think you may be better off with a spreader technique.

Which ever method you use I hope it works well for you.Wink [;)]Thumbs Up [tup]

Thanks Darren. I think I may try a combination of the two techniques.  Mine has no dihedral as she sits, so a little bending and a spreader or two should do nicely.

Thanks fella's.Thumbs Up [tup] Didn't mean to worry you-just tired.

I've basically done a weeks shifts in three days and its been real busy.By that I mean I've had to deal with some difficult situations. I got temporary promotion and as well as doing all my own job, I had to manage the staff as well. Luckily for me, they are a good team and they do me proud.

I've had a lazy day today to rest and have pottered around the workshop doing this and that. The Seafire is coming on slowly and with a little luck, I'll have the paint scheme done this weekend.

As is our tradition, wherever you may be in the world, take time to relax.......

Hi Frank,

Thanks for the hint. I will look into this and see what I can do.

My PC has been giving me some trouble so had to get it looked at; hence the delayed response. Hopefully will have a photo or two ready soon.

Hey Fella's

How's everyone doing?

I managed to get some workshop time over the weekend, much sanding and finishing still going on........I seem to fill one gap-then find another one!Banged Head [banghead]

Well, at long last I got the EDS Grey sprayed on, I did'nt bother with a pic as there is not much to see yet-I'll save that for when the masking tape comes off! With any luck those gaps won't show!Big Smile [:D]

I'm back at the madhouse tomorrw, see you a couple pf days.Wink [;)]

Doing well here, thanks Mate!

Not looking forward to going back to work after a week off spent in the shop, and walking around some full-size Warbirds!  In case anyone missed my photos on my post over in aircraft, here's a couple pics of some Sea Furies at EAA 2007.  I GOTTA get me one of these in 1/48!

Thanks Darren!  I am glad you liked them.  After spending a little bit of time around them this weekend, I have come to realize how beautiful they are, in a ruthless, purposeful kind of way.  Now I HAVE to get one, if I can find one!

Nice pick-up, Darren! Make sure you get their PE set to go along with it. I have it for when I do mine (I have the wheeled version), and it really looks like it'll go a long way towards beefing up what's already a great kit. Thumbs Up [tup]
