Oh great! Photobucket isn't working for me on this computer anymore! I'll have to check them out when i get home. I drew a weekend duty here, so i'm on a government computer. Sometimes it works, other times it don't. I'll have to look at em when i get home!

But i promise i won't laugh. I've never even done seatbelts before, so i'm sure i could do no betterBlush [:I]

Warmest regards,

Roger

Roger,

Here's a link to a tutorial on making nice looking 'belts outta tape.  I have yet to try the technique, but it sure looks convincing to me!

Well it looks relatively easy, but he says that it takes about 45 minutes to do and somehow i'm not all that convinced. How long did it take for yours?

Frank, wonderful job on the Spit!!!  Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]  She's a real nice clean bird.  Glad you took enough time out from your hooliganism to get her done!

Thanks too for the tape seatbelt link.  I've tried that a couple of times and I picked up lots of good ideas to make them look a whole lot better.

Hello chaps,

I'm having a quiet night by the fireside and I was going through some photo's on my computer. Well, as I looked through them I came across a pic of an old RN Phantom that I had visited last year and I seached to see if I could find a pic of when she was on active service, a sort of "now and then" if you will..........

013 lined up on the flight deck of HMS Ark Royal circa 1972.

and as she is now, just the front fuselage preserved at RAF Cosford.

I do love those F-4's in FAA colours.................Pirate [oX)]

Sure is unusual to me to see F-4s in FAA colors, but i have to say she certainly has a much different flavor to her like that! (I'm thinking with a hint of tea and crumpetts)

And i take it that's you posing next to the fuselage section there in that second picture?

Warmest regards,

Roger

Sign - Off Topic!! [#offtopic] Hey speaking of Phantoms, have you guys ever checked ut Davis-Monthan AFB in Arizona with Google earth?  It's basically a scrap yard for old airframes.  Pretty cool if your ever bored and looking for something to do between drinks.  Just type in davis-monthan arizona on the search bar.

I've actually been through the real thing- it's just outside of Tucson and near the airport (if i remember correctly). Kim and I used to vacation out there alot.

And if i remember correctly, they had some static displays out on the main drag on post. Even had a U-2C out there by the commisary. Thought that was way cool....Cool [8D]
