I have to admit, I am tempted to get a few details for my Hellcat, I'll have to look and see what's out there for my kit.

I have'nt done any modelling today, life etc. preventing me from the haven that is my workshop. I did start putting my Lynx together yesterday and it was not good, the fuselage halves did not want to go together, I think it was my "padding" that got in the way. Anyhoo, I left the thing in a vice last night and its not fighting me now........

Y'know I could do with a drink. Where's all the rum gone?

I'm still here!  Have been working 10 hour days the last nine days in a row, so haven't been in the shop much.  But, I have the next 5 days in a row off, and I just got my new twin-cylinder with air tank and auto shut-off compressor in the mail today-plan on lots of airbrushing tomorrow!

So, have some rum-drink up me 'hardys, it's the weekend!

The Dauntless is giving me the guilt trip of a lifetime here! With the work schedule full for the week, it's all i can do to pass by the bench with the unstarted kit there. I tried explaining to it that between work, my wife overseas, and the extended family all doin stuff that i was gonna have to get to it sometime next week. But i still get those sad puppy dog eyes......

 Darson, all I mean is that you cut a square in the mask and you use that opening to stick the mask to the model with the tape. This way you don't have to try and stick an edge down which results in a 'hard' edge.

 I have been bad, I have started the Barracuda already. I have to make best use of the little time avaialble and unfortunately I couldn't resist it. The scary part is that I have started on the wings and wheel wells and it is going together easily. A touch scary considering the manufacturer.

I finally felt comfortable enough today to paint the "spots" on my '109 with my new 'brush.  Have to say, I am really starting to like the double action 100!

Well it isn't quiet here in Melbourne. It's a long weekend in Victoria Australia and in between the compulsory 'spend time with SWMBO' I have plans for the Barracuda! So far I have managed to 'One Go' the clear parts (Future semi-equivalent) and will hopefully be airbrushing the interior later today or tommorrow.

My biggest drama is the actual positioning of the cockpit assy. Special Hobby doesn't have anything to indicate the correct height of the assy so it's a guessing game to work out how high to put it in the fueslage. I have looked at a few builds online and I THINK I have it about right as you have to trim all of the floors and bulkheads to make it fit.

OK, I dunno if this is good form or not on these boards......but I thought I'd share with you what I've been up to last couple of days.

Remember the Tomcat that I built for my friend? Well, I took the long drive over to his place to deliver his model. It was great to see his reaction, he was like a kid at Christmas! Really good to know that he was pleased with what I turned out.

We went out and visited a couple of LHS's and had a nice lunch. Spent pretty much the whole day talking models! I also got to see some of his builds and I was well impressed. He builds armor and I've tried to get him to put his work on FSM for others to see, but he is still a bit reluctant as he thinks "they are not good enough" How often have we all said that? 

Anyway, he has a dio on the bench and has promised to show that here......sometime. It would be pretty good as I am the only other modeler he actually shows his work to and I know many others would enjoy his work and marvel at his knowledge. He has a vast knowledge of AFV's.

So a fantastic day that went all too quickly, well time flies when you are enjoying yourself!

Then today, it was chores around the home day.... Still, I got loads done (landscaping/gardening) inbetween keeping my son entertained! Poor little bloke could'nt understand why I won't let him near my power tools!

Anyway, after a good dinner, my wife went to work and my son went to bed. So its just me and a nice cold drink while I put my feet up. Aaaaahhhhhhhhh...........bliss!

I do have one question though. This (would) be my first group build. With that being said, what do we do when finished. Take pictures, etc and send'em in?
