Time to bump this page back to the front page!!!

Here are some images of a Mosquito PR16 conversion that I have been doing for some years now. I buggered the kit screen whilst trying to convert it from stock to PR16 and Paragon only made a canopy for the Airfix kit. Now that Paragon make one for the Tamiya kit I have finaly managed to progress some more. I have added the CMK Mosquito exterior and the PR16 conversion set.

And the two mosquito's in progress:

The two Mosquito's are advancing well. I have now got the canopies on and have blended them into the fuselage. Hopefully tommorrow I will get a chance to put down the base camouflage coat.

Sure!

Dont worry about the time frame, i pretty sure it will get extended before april arrives.

update from me, my mirage is cactus. After all the work of filling and sanding the proken fuselage parts, it thinned the plastic too much, so when i re-scribed the panel lines i pushed the tool clean through the skin. Basically i have recovered the cockpit tub, and have a few spares for my spares box, so ive ordered a new kit. Not a great loss as i got the kit for 15 bucks, its the time lost thats annoying

And Boomer, i have a canopy for you! Just waiting for the other kit to show up!

Ok, have started work on my RAN UH-1B. this old Monogram kit needs some work. It is nothing special when it comes to the parts fitting department....lol. The minigun ammo box has been hacked out and a new floor built. The interior detail is nothing special, so i think i will model it with the doors closed.

Ihave settled on markings for UH-1B 898.....

Also have started putting together my Hornet. It is the Italeri kit which is not bursting with detail, so i am going to pose it on a stand 'in flight'. I will be using this one to start my collection of Hornets which i have to build displaying some of the unique markings put on some RAAF Hornets over the years. Still thinking of the markings i want to use......Sigh [sigh]. I have plenty to choose from...

Bushy.

I dont know what period your Mirage is from.  If it is post 1983, it would have the MB Mk 6 seat fitted.

Let me know if it is pre-1983, might be a Mk 4 ?

Anyway, update on the mirage. I have most of the holes and cracks filled and sanded, im just working on the area forward of the cannon bay and the wing root trying to get a decent looking underside. Fit problems left some steps in the plastic, soi should be re-scriving this weekend.

Does anyone have color suggestions for the martin baker seat cusions and seat belts??

Its the LTD model that i scored off ebay, not so expensive until i added shipping from the US   Confused [%-)]

Now, speaking of kiwi resin, on the red roo models sight, they have listed a CAC15 Kangaroo that is currently under construction by kiwi resin!!!!!!!!!!!!

No matter what price, im buying it! Conversely, does anyone know if there is a conversion set to make a gloster metero F8 out of tamiya's F3?

Not much of an update from me. Personal life just got real complicated with a new job offer and an interstate move now looming, i also have an internship coming up with the ambulance service for uni, so modelling is deffinately on the backburner. The mirage is pretty crook after the accident so im still filling and sanding, but it is coming along slowly, i hope to have it at least undercoated black within the fortnight. The macchi on the other hand will stay unstarted for a while.

On the upside my 1/48 boomerang has arrived and i just nailed italeri's 1/48 Tiger with a set of aus decals, so there is a couple more for the stash. May have photoes

Doe anyone have any idea what colours are a good match for the martin baker ejection seats??

G'day all. Just wanted to say that i think the new badge is great. Good job Aaron Skinner. Appreciate the effort you put into that.

A quick update. Sorry no pics at this stage. I pulled the Huey from my stash and cut the major parts from the sprues. Not much that is not warped here......lol. Thats what you get when you buy second hand kits........Whistling [:-^]. Lots of flash. Man we are spoilt with all the new technology of molds. I am using the old Monogram kit. Anyway, every part needs cleaning, fit is ordinary and i think i need to order more tubes of putty....Laugh [(-D]. I am still optimistic though!!!!!
