Dupes, per your request.

Gives perspective on just how large the Flanker is.  Shock [:O]

I believe you asked awhile back for a picture of the Hornet in progress, so here you go.

It's in the decal stage, so nice and shiny from the Future coat.

Thanks Bob!

Dupes, thanks as well.  I have hardwood floors in my apartment, so the green concoction is unfortunately my island countertop.  Which is also where I build.  Gotta love small apartments!  As far as a comparision shot with the Flanker, I think I can arrange that. Wink [;)]

Thanks Paul!  Whoo, the A-10 is coming along nicely. Thumbs Up [tup]

I got some work done on the hog....

I just need to sand down the putty on the engine pods and then attach them, I hope to paint this next week.

Ahhh yes...the kitchen floor photoshoot!

Sorry I had to wait to reply Arki - had to find myself some broadband to poach. Wink [;)]

Looks really good - especially all the metallizered stuff, and the BUCKETLOAD of ordinance! Can't believe what these things can carry. Wow.

So are we going to get a F-15E/Su-27 kitchen floor comparison pic to work off of? Cool [8D]

Fini!  This is a little image-intensive, so fair warning to those on dial-up.

Sorry about the lighting and background, but she's simply too big for my photobooth! Sign - Dots [#dots]

Great kit, resin upgrades were nice with minimum of fuss except perhaps fit of cockpit, Twobobs decals were decent.

It's not perfect, there's always a seam or two that just arent' as good as planned and the decals were a little resistant to solvent leaving some silvering in places.  That's aggravated by the darkness of the aircraft color.

I've learned that even the Promodeller wash is difficult to see against the gunship gray.

Anyway, I have throughly enjoyed building it for my GB.  Thanks to everyone who has joined me in this little journey. Thumbs Up [tup]

Happy Thanksgiving!

Finally started on the Hind last night/this morning.  Got the ordnance together, the winglets, exhaust and the walls of the troop compartment/cockpit.  Also got to play with the new airbrush and got the cockpit, seats and IP's painted.  Still got to do parts clean up and seam duty.  Pics can be found at

http://public.fotki.com/lewbud/mi-24-hind/

Wish Hasegawa had slide molding back in the day as the rockets had two fins each that needed to be installed, filled and sanded and the exhausts have seams that are gonna be a mother as well.

I got the SLUF primed with white today (was going to do it friday before work but I slept too late). Decided grey would be a better base for the mudhen so I am going to the hobby shop tomorrow to pick up some of that Tamiya Primer in grey....which I have heard is a near spot on match for light ghost grey....which happens to be the base color for the A-10 (that's called "two birds with one stone" gents).

Not sure if I will have time to fire up the airbrush and spray the SLUF with gull grey tomorrow....but Wednesday for sure.....the F-15 should be spray the same day

Paul-you're killing me!  Three projects at once....and starting more....makes my head hurt-and you do quality work too.....good job.

Progress update-drop tanks have been painted yellow & rockets are painted.  With a little luck, I'll finish the decals tonight, Future tomorrow, get the props & nose painted.  Going out of town next Tue-Sat, so I won't get to do any weathering until December.

I have a progress report, minus pics.

A-7E - All seams filled and sanded, canopy dipped in future and masked, avionics bay masked

F-15E - seams on wings finally contoured to liking, canopy dipped and masked, wheel wells masked, ordnance painted and stencilled.

A-10A - All seams filled, sanding will happen tonight. Once I sand the seams on the aircraft, I will attach the engines to the main assembly.

I intend on applying primer to the Corsair and Strike Eagle tomorrow before I leave for work. Then I should be able to shoot them with color next week.....maybe a week and a half to completion on those two. The Warthog will make the cut.....but I will most likely take that one right to the bitter end.

Believe it or not, this was the first aircraft I ever modeled that was an active participant in a conflict......so I wanted to get her a little dirtier than the normal "wiped with a diaper show bird" that I usually do.

Nice job on the completed Skyhawk Paul!  Thumbs Up [tup]  Weatherings a bit heavy for my taste, but it still looks good.

Ya know, this is for a GB dedicated to ground attack, so you just have to put the Zuni's on. Big Smile [:D]
