Ok, thats fine. I am also in the twin engine fighter GB, but as that doesn't end till Sept i can do this first. I will probably be starting at the start of March, once my 251 is deffinatly finished. Will give me a month to scrape together some spare parts and decals as the kit is pretty sparse on both. So pencil me in but i woun't take the badge untill i know i can 100% get it finished in time. As i mentioned, i am going away at the end of this month for 3 months, so will give me something to look forward to when i get home.

Hi Red,

I caught your post in the Prototype GB.

I'll try my best to to get to that 236A-1. Thumbs Up [tup]

I had to backout od the Mudmovers build due to my work schedule. Things seem to be slowing up a bit so I may find the time.

Ok, thanks Red. Afraid you will have to count me out of this one then. I'm not back in the country till the start of Feb and i will probably still have my 251 to finish.

Red13Bar do you have an end date for this GB. I have just bought the Huma 1/72 Focke Wulf Triebflugel which i would like to enter with if time permits. I am currently in the 251 GB but am out of the country for 3 months at the end of this month. Can you let me know what you have in mind for an end date and then i will decide if i think i can enter.

Cool. Sign me up.

I better start working on my Do-335. A Me-262 could come later.

Just join up since the build doesn't end until spring.  It was made long so people could join up during the GB.

Is it to late to join this GB? I have a Dragon Do-335B-4 Recon kit that I could build for this and possibly something like a Me-262 that could have flown in '46.

I'm wondering if I could get in this build (my first by the way).

I have a 1/72 Dragon Me 1101 Nachtjaeger. By my research, the prototype P.1101 was about 80% completed when the Allies discovered the production facility in late April 1945. It was shipped back to Bell Aircraft in New York where it served as a test bed for the X-5. It was scrapped in the mid 1950s.

It's a nice small kit that I had to blow off the dust from in my resurrected kit stash. I figure it would be a great way to get back into the hobby after about 20ish years out.

Hi Red,

I've decided I can't face a short-run kit at this time, with its rescribing, alignment crises and such... (Dragging a Matchbox 1980s kit up to spec has mentally taxed me!) So I looked further afield and found Revell's Gotha 229 flying wing. Produced around '96, I never knew or I wouldn't have messed around with PM's offerings. Excellent fit and detail, good cockpit, recessed panel lines, what-if decals, stencil data... She should be a beauty!

Cheers,

Mike

The Flitzer is out of the box and on the bench!

I assembled the pit last night, along with the wings and the tail booms.

Currently painting the pit.

I'll post pics when I get a chance.

My Revell Flitzer arrived on Friday, as did the Type XXI U-boat, the Kriegesmarine's answer to Luft 46.

The U-boat is up to build first, but I don't think that that will take more than a week or two, after which I'll start on the Flitzer.

Good to hear.  There was so little activity here I was beginning to wonder if the whole thing was going to fall through....

Hi Red 13 Bar,

I've received some accessories that'll contribute to the Mistel IV -- a Me 262 A-series clear vac canopy, as the clear parts in the MPM kit have yellowed with age. I might consider press-molding a replacement for the nose bay transparencies also. In addition, I picked up a good sheet of swastikas to go with my selection of fighter crosses.

I have four rescribing projects on at the moment, so it's basically first-come-first-served as to what I feel like doing at any moment, the good news is I'm getting there a bit at a time!

Cheers,

Mike/TB379
