Rules are as follows, kit may not be started already when build begins- must be new or just one in your stash that you had been meaning to build but didnt have a plan for yet.

For what ever story your kit is from, good guys= Allies, Bad guys= Axis(not the gundam Axis. sorry)

Post WIP and keep updated. once you decide on a kit, let me know so I can put it on the front page of our GB thread.

May join at any time as long as you folow the rules and are finished by the end date.

GB logo may be posted in Signature box AFTER completion of kit. also more than one kit is aceptable as long as you can finish all on time. You only have to finish one kit to get the GB logo.

This build will start on 07\04\08, and end on 07\15\09.

The group is as follows:

Cosmic J - U.C. Hardgraph Zeon Mobile Scout Set

ROBOSNOWMAN - MG RGM-79(G) GM Sniper and MG MS-06 Zaku II F2 Zeon Version

smeagol the vile - HGUC 1/144 Domtroppen

SgtBrown -

SkullGundam -

Kugai - 1\35 Scale Raiden power suit and\or Evangelion EVA 02

Buddho - Scrach built Armored suit

and my self,

Puma_Adder -Master Grade 1\100 Gouf and Master Grade 1\100 GM Type C

If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions, PM me or E-mail me.

Ok, I've decided that the (first) kit I build for this GB will be this one:

http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN945937

Mostly because I already have one in the stash. I'll do it in D.A.K. desert colors, w/ appropriate markings. I'm starting tonight, pictures to follow.

I am doing a 1/144 Domtroppen.

I am doing it as an advanced recon unit with zimmerit, to counter any Federation mines.

I have made some minor modifications.  First thing I cut the attachments on the bottom part of the torso off so I could slide it on and off easier.

I added Zimmerit to the leg, rear skirt, and chest (not shown)

You can also see some of the battle damage.  The little armor part of the leg is broken off on the non zimmerit side.

The third button at on the top of the thingy where you do the font and stuff.

you need to copy the location of the pic and paste it using that tool.

will have pics of the GM and Guof up soon.

Hey there,

How do you feel about a kit that was built but has been completely disassambled for a complete rebuild? I have a Gundam Leopard D that I have stripped (when I first built it I didn't even paint it....I used the "OH, it's molded in color" approach) and intend on rebuild. There is not one piece assembled at this time.

If it would be allowed, I am definitely in.

I think it would make an excellent Axis machine

I also seem to be doing a Mg Gundam OYW style in IJA colors. No decal for the flag, so painting it on should be interesting, alot of masking and some wierd stuff.

I have got started on test fitting and its looking good, wow what a difference the MG is to the HG so much more clean. I will get some pics up soon.

I will not be able to airbrush it for a little bit though. I need a space to do it. lol

My gundam is about 40% airbrushed.  The head is not done, nor is the torso and legs, but the arms and chest are completly finished. I'm just worried im gona run out of paint.  As opposed to doing a color scheme, like on the dom, I'm doing the gundam in Camo, with Imperial Japanese Green as the base

Oh! I just forgot....I have a 1:12th VR-052F Armored Rider from Genesis Climber Mospeada that I have had sitting in the stash....I wanted to do a "what if" with it....could look cool as an Allied trooper getting ready to storm the beach at Normandy.

I finally got some work done on the Gouf! havent figured out the paint just yet, but I started on the modifacations I wanted to do. Lucky for me I just hapen to have a Zaku II F2 kickin around to steal parts from Big Smile [:D]. The mods include the backpack and legs. The goal here is to convert the Gouf to a space type MS.

Pics to come soon.....I hope. LoL

I have an odd requrest, I feel wierd for asking it, but...

I am in need of a single decal.  I have no money and no way of getting one, none of my friends have it, and I dont have any.  I need a Japanese Flag    That flag, not the naval flag.

I am in desperate need for it, I need one that will fit on the shield of a Rx-79-2 gundam.  If anyone has one and doesnt need it, I would be greatly appreciative.

And before anyone mentions masking and painting, I tried it didnt work out.

Buddho: Looks pretty cool to me.  I admire your drawing skills.  I've been playing around with draing for a couple of years and I really sick. I've come to the conclusion I always will.  Sigh [sigh]

I believe I am doing the Magella Attack Tank From the Gundam EX line.  Don't know what colors yet, but I dont really no anything about Axis paint schemes.  Id probably want to do something from Japan.  Considering my Grandpa fought for Poland on the very first day of WWII I think hed be a bit dissapointed I know nothing about armor and only about scifi.  Any reference links would be appreciated.  I've been googling but nothings coming up. The only pics I found were black and white and   well   that dont help unless I want to paint it black and white.

If at first you do succeed, try to hide your astonishment.

smeagol- I may be able to help you, I just need to wait for payday. I have found that aircraft and armor kits have all the decals that look cool, got my GM's US Navy\Marine Corps decals from a 1\48 F4U Corsair kit.

Yea, I'm getting my Iron cross (for the dom) from a Panzerkampfwagon Rail tank, and if I decide to make a US one, I have my corsair decals, I just dont have any japanese anything.  And the Classic gundam has to be japanese.

I really dont have enough kits to do all of these I want to... why oh why dont I have enough kits.

If I can, I'd like to join this build.  I've got a couple Macross kits that I've been lugging around for many years and this would give me an excuse to build them.  The Valkerie would be in the colors of the 357th Fighter Group and the Regult some German armor scheme (maybe boring old panzer grey, or maybe the three color ambush scheme haven't decided yet).  It'll be a while before I can start, got a few other group builds to finish.

Smeagol,

Don't know the size of the shield on the kit you're building, but the Japanese flag is very simple it's just the red circle (hinomaru) on a white background.  Paint the shield white and then mask off the circle and shoot some red paint and you're done, no decal needed.

Ok, so I stated by opening the box and checking out all the pieces. Many of the parts are quite delicate, and there were special structures on the sprues to protect them. Very nice.

Next, I began test fitting parts. I wanted to see if this was going to be a difficult build, or if it was just going to fall together. I also wanted to get an idea of the models "footprint"; that is, how much space would be required on a scenic base to display it.

Here, some of the parts have been glued, but most are just push fitted together. Engineering on this kit is really nice. You can see how delicate it is. I've got to decide where to drill a hole for the brass rod that will support it when it's done. Hmmm.

Since this will be an ‘in-flight' display, I really should have looked at the figure first, since he will be a focal point for the model. Looks ok, but I'm going to have to build him to really know. I don't like the helmet, so I may replace the head altogether.

More later.

I, too, would like to join this group build if possible. As the subject is WW2, my four entries are from Dream Pod 9's now-defunct game series Gear Krieg, an alternate view of that conflict using "war walkers." The miniatures are 15mm (1/100) scale, and (as Puma knows me so well) are similar to the Clan OmniMechs from BattleTech, in that they can alternate their weapons layout.

The images are from Dream Pod 9's site, and are as follows:

PzKpf VI Donner

PzKpf V Valkurie

MV12A Roundhead

M11A1-3 General Early

I should have the parts breakdown and WIP photos starting this week.
