They did the same thing with an ersatz US tank in the re-make movie The A-Team last summer.

I got some Russian green on the hull last night.. and the road wheels... The plan is to let this dry.. clear with future.. then maybe some mild salt chipping.. then overcoat with US OD green...

the Turret will be just OD green...

ok.  got the turret painted US Olive Drab green last night.. here's some pics..Photobucket:550:0]

Photobucket:550:0]

Photobucket:550:0]

the plan from here... is to Future both hull and turret.. add the white stars to the turret.. some slight salt chipping on the hull as I want the Russian armor green to show thru in places..

Hand paint " the Haunted Tank" either on the turret or hull.. not sure yet, as this changes from issue to issue..

once the salt is on, I'll add the road wheels, and paint the hull and very dusty OD Green,, I'll leave behind the road wheels the russian green color as I'm thinking JEB and crew, didn't paint behind the wheels when they got her ready for battle..  Once the OD green is dry... remove the salt.. add some filters,, paint the tools,, add weathering.. then the tracks,,,

Wow, that Jap aircraft in the foreground is wearing Manny's "Contentious Caramel"!....

Hand-painting "the Haunted Tank"? Absolutely, I think it needs it for we who are not so in-the-know when it comes to armour.

Contentious Caramel ??? lolol..Indifferent   what I meant about "hand painting" was, by free hand, paint the words " Haunted Tank" on the tank... when ever they got a new tank,, JEB painted the name on with a brush..Stick out tongue
