Usually when I miss a thread entirety i go back a few page to what's up. Went to the beginning on this one for some reason and glad I did. Never heard of that comic series before. It did however remind me of my fiends and I playing "WAR" in the early 60's running around with my dad's .45 (welded shut barrel) then back in the house to watch "Combat" and "The Gallant Men"
Cool project and being very well done.
And thanks for the memory jog. I remembered a drawing my dad made on the garage wall of a boat davit he ended up building.
Marc
Thanks Wingnut.. !
here's the Crew... in order.. Jeb, Rick, Slim, and Arch... ( students of the GI COMBAT might ask where Gus is,, in the time frame I'm shooting for, is the issues just up to when Arch is killed.. Gus took Arch;s place.. )

All the figures are mix n matches from Apline, Verlinden, the kit figs,.,, and a few other brands that escape my memory... Rick and Arch will have shoulders added, and Arch will get a cigar..
Scene start to being populated!
rtoo speed makes ugly results, too relax don't make results
The Figs are done.. started painting them last night.. I'm also working on an idea to hold Slim and Arch in their hatches. With their shoulders attached, the only way I can get them in thier hatches, is to feed them up from below. Then they would need to be glued in place,, the problem.. how to hold them while the glue dries..I came up with the idea of attaching a spring to their midsections( both crew members are cut off at the waist ),,, that way I can feed them up thru the turret hole, thru their hatches.. the springs will keep them in the hatch holes, I can position them how they should be,, and then add a touch of superglue to premantly mount them..
pics soon..
Nice work P38, things are really coming together.

Thanks Gamera !
Worked on the figs some more last night.. and also messed with the tracks.. somehow after I removed them to paint them, I got the the sections screwed up and I could not get 1 side to go back on.. so.. I removed some sections,, added some more Testors liquid glue to soften the hinged parts, and reapplied.. its looking better now..
sorry Folks.. not much lately.. built a mind clearing Esci 1/48 Skyraider AD-4W outabox to clear my head... I posted pics in the aircraft section..
