Thank you Smokinguns... that is probably my personal favorite camo job that I have ever done. I may have to do a German tank in a similar scheme/pattern one day... probably look real good on a Mk IV.

Well it was a slow year for me. Two builds completed, with the Trum. P-38 taking up most of my time. Thought I did more but I guess it just seemed that way

M-18 Hellcat Dio.

And this was not finished this year but I did repair some major damage to it.

And That's all folks!!

My humble contribution:  The first build in 18 years, the second armor build overall, DML's E-100 paper panzer, with aftermarket AL barrel, weathering, washing, dot filtering, and PE were all my fisrt experience, as were the indy track links.

I have about 3 incomplete builds going one, and one completed build.  I suppose the year isn't over yet, and I could maybe knock one more out.

mg.mikael, No I did not do  WIP, but it is a pretty straight forward build. Just make sure to file off, fill in and clean off again. Good luck!Thumbs Up [tup]

All gave some and some gave all.

Well this is the first and only build so far this year. I made a few mistakes but it turned out ok.

Tamiya 1/48 M4 Sherman

I am also trying to finish a StuG III B before Dec. 31st, when the Lend-Lease build start Jan.1st.

I don't feel like posting the pics, but mine is pretty sad for what was completed.  I've pretty much completed the IDF MUTT with TOW.  A 71 (I think) AAR Cuda, FW-190, Bradley, and I think that's about it.

I've got several more that are half done or almost done from this year.  Including Tamiya F16CJ, Another Bradley with all the trimmings, Flak37, Dragon Halftrack, and some others I can't remember off the top of my head.

and then Cyberhobbies Aufklarunspanzer

and then Trumpeter's E25

 and then Tamiya's 35yr old+ pak40

Then finally Hobbycraft's Sea Fury as "The Forgotten Warrior"

Some of you guys must have your own factories running.

Well, who am I (LO51MERC) to buck the trend of a mixed bag of models built this year. I've only got a couple to show but I started in the spring and have other things to keep me busy, just ask my wife, she'll verify that! This first one is a Monogram B-52D that I've had unbuilt on the shelf for twenty years. Now it's built and sitting on a shelf right above my monitor.

This next model used the cab from my original issue of the AMT 34 Ford pickup. The chop was done in back in the early 60's, and the nose is also original issue AMT AlaKart with the headlights removed and then the whole thing turned upside down for a track nose. The rest is bits and pieces. I scratchbuilt the frame, headers, firewall, and the cab floor.

Well, I built the B-52. Now what am I gonna do with all my free time

What a visual feast!

My few completed builds......

My Magach for the IDF GB

M4A3/75 by Tamiya

Tamiya's Pershing

Academy M1A1, OOB for the painting experience. I'm calling this one done....

Tamiya's M48 as an IDF -A4

All in all, a fun year. There's a few more but I don't consider them "finished" as they're not dirty, stowed, etc.

And this will finish soon:

Academy's M48.

Apprentice rivet counter.

Disapprove [V]Shamefully, I only finished one dio this year, although "Death in the Courtyard" is gonna be finished before January (I swear).  I did finish many stand-alone figs that will find homes in 2009 dios, as well.

Also finished several other misc. figs that probably shouldn't be re-posted here Evil [}:)] since they almost resulted in my second banning...lol.Angel [angel]

Oh, and I did finish a 1/72nd wing-thing...

Beened a while since I've been here. And lots of great model I don't recall.

2008 was my moist succeful year of modeling, more and better models were made than ever before, and some of my best too.

The year started with the complete of Dragons T-34 in german army, this is my favorite and first with PE parts, the firgure is also the first details too.

Tamiya willy jeep and Rover 7 ambulance was also complete, and just in time for the model show where I got second place in junor award.

Firts 1/48 tank was also the first free hand camo pattern that I've done.

Then more difficult builds were made like Dragon Gepard(with lots of PE parts) and repairing the tamiya Hezter, thought not finish yet, they are quite a challenge.

And finally Trumpeters KV-2 early is done not long ago and with a conbination of skill and well made figures, it really shows off, and is my first allied tank. His dio is almost done, maybe not this year but before march.

Unfortunatly this was not a good year for aircraft, none have been completed.

Working on: Trumpeter SU-152 (1/35) Trumpeter E-10 (1/35) Heller Somua (1/35)
