Not that anything that's built by you is in any way lacking, but I like this one a lot.

WOW Doog, this build looks totally awesome! From the interior details, to the great camo job, the Uber-realistic tracks on the front, and cool figure to top it off!?! You absolutely outdid yourself and I can only hope to have an iota of this level of skill in my builds.

 Yes, a warning; a disclaimer. You should add a disclaimer at the first of your projects to avoid any lawsuit or claims from the effects of your build.

or maybe someone's life going down the toilet with brain damage right after viewing one of your insanely beautiful projects.

Steve, I almost went bonkers myself with that styrene thread! I tried using real wire, but the stress on the plastc parts from trying to bend it properly would have been excessive, so I had to improvise.

Tony--I didn't know there was a 1/144 Leopold either--I found it unexpectedly on eBay!

OH, I don't know ... just my opinion I guess.  If it's not a tank it's not armor.

Hey Jeff--Thanks for the comments; I have to say that I never really think of halftracks as being necessarily "Armor" per se,--maybe that's why I held off so long from building one?--but you could call it either way; I'm glad you like it though!

Steve--I've got no problem with people calling it like they see it. Sometimes it helps me to see things in a different light. If I can improve my build through honest criticism, then it's all good. I would hate to think that people here would misguidedly insulate me from that just because of some "status" I may or may not have or hold. Nobody's perfect, and I certainly never want my work to be treated as if it was. Thanks for your thoughts.

All I can do is echo what everyone else has said - great build!  I have to admit, I was skeptical when I got my first look at your camo scheme, but you pulled it all together with the weathering. 

I am not sure if I think this is your best work to date, only because I am so impressed with so much of your work that it is hard to elevate one above another.

On a somewhat unrelated topic - a few builds ago, I recall you using a scotchbrite pad (I think) and dipping it in a 'mush' of oil paints and then using it to apply scratches or scuffs or some such thing.  Was that your Hornisse build?  I'm asking because I am going to do that to my current project and just wanted to get a second look at your approach.  If you have the link to the specific build, that would be appreciated.

The MIG pigments are fabulous products. You can see the results of using them on the wheels and suspension there. For weathering mud, dirt, etc, in my opinion, they are the "industry standard"! They really do last a long time, so the cost of them is justified. I suggest getting one of their sets of 3-4 bottles. They will last through dozens of models with ease!
