 My tank crews and infantry are scratch resin conversions and variations of this conversion .Some of them are in forum shop available ,some wait for better time .Together to my models i have done more 100 figures.

Havent moved to the painting stages yet, im enjoying the construction (and playing with the suspension) to much to rush it.

The Machinegun is on a ball joint so it can turn (its a full MG inside the turret, not just the barrel sticking out)

All thats really left is to add some hatches to the top of the beast, and to stick the tools on before its painting time

Question, should I paint the Bottom chasis before I attach the top, should I do them at the same time, if I do the latter,w hat about the parts behind and under the skirts?

Question< what colors did they use for camo on these monsters.  I know generically green, tan, brown etc, but when I went for my green all I had was a model masters acrylic 'Willow green' that was useable, is that to bright?

I have to show my amazing masking skirt I made inorder to keep the wheels safe while I colored the back a solid hull red.

The wheels and bottom are finished untill I go to weather.  I am painting the tracks right now.

Ok, my next issue was putting on the tools, the holes for attaching the racks were way to big for the pegs so I filled them and am just gluing the rack on without the guiding pegs.  Because of this (and the bad placement of the holes and bad instructions) one of the attachments wasnt put on right, so tow chain part (plastic molded) had to be modded.  I cut the plastic bit off and added a bit of Mecha Skunk snake chain I had gotten (I used it on my ma.k kit too)  It isnt exactly perfect, but it works for me.

thats what I do, more or less, use this plastic glue that REALLY melts the plastic on each half, it leaves it goopy so when it dries it fills most of the seam.  I then used thinned putty to fill in the rest.  AFter that I do the lathe thing, wrap it in sand paper and spin that sucker around.  After that I use un-thinned paint to prime it and check for gaps.  If there are any, I sand the primer down with higher grit paper, using the paint from then on as gap filler till the seam is gone.

Tomarrow ill attach the rest of the tool holders to the tank, put those modded chains on and show some pics before I take it to the airbrush

Well, im getting close to the end of this build.  Here you can see the chains I attached, though there going to be painted seperatly along with the tools which will be done last most likley.  I have to reglue the chain to the attachments though, it came off AGAIN, im gona cut it a tiny bit so theres no glue residue on it.

Preshading, not much, just washes and painted in pannellines

One side of wheels and tracks finished.  Tracks painted black, drybrushed silver, not much to say.  the wheels painted as in previous posts, drybrushed silver then black.  I painted the roadwheels as well, took forever and I still have a side to do

Here is the kit being painted hull red.  Most of it is hull red, some is brown, I ran extremly low on hull red (though i just got the bottle) so I mixed some brown in, didnt change the color much

in the 2nd pic with the 3 ones you can see a wierd splotch on the green.  Thats now fixed, and there was alittle paint gooping (where it ran down the front and made a little raised ridge) thats fixed too.

I asked earlier on the forum how to clean out bottles, well nows a good time to show why.

I have a paint adapter for the small Tamiya bottles so they can go with my airbrush and well.  Take a look why cleaning and reusing them is good.

  Now  I have that color yellow I mixed in a full, clean bottle with the lid showing that color, and not in some random small jar I can misplace or in a one time use mixing cup :D
