"It", The Tuesday evening Matinee......
Posted by disastermaster on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 2:53 PM

Well guys, it’s been another long dry spell since I last posted a smiley infested build here.

Maybe these 12 pictures will quench some thirst out there.

Lately I’ve been feeling like I might have lost the touch. Of course that could be ‘cause I been

starin’ at this dang thing so long I’ve just got tired of it. You be the judge; hope I don’t disappoint 'ya.

I took a bit of creative license on this to give it an aggressive stance, I added a few bits and pieces here and there and altered the suspension slightly to make it stand out from the

Humdrum.

For purposes of the search feature on the forum, here’s the official name:

1/35 German E 10 Entwicklungsfahrzeug

Got me some popcorn to munch on during the show.....

Sure hope ‘yall like the main feature here; after all, it's digital.

First up is my rendition of the box top art……..   headed the other way that is.

Top shot…………… all nice & dusty.

Here’s a close up of that crouching perspective. The adjustable suspension on this tank is “way cool”.

Hey! .......'yall see that! Doog snatched my popcorn.....  bad doog.

    hmmmm...that might'a been treadwell.

And so, until next time, that’s "IT"

Let me be the first to say, beautiful, magnificient, you have not lost your touch.  Very nice weathering/mudding.

it looks like it is getting ready to pounce.

Looks great, I think you've still got it! Big Smile [:D] Interesting little tank, I believe there were only 3 chasis built that never saw combat, and didn't last the war. (Interesting that there are so many different models of it avalable.) Wonderfully done though, I like it!

You did an excellent job on the build! I especially like the way you depicted the worn metal on the edges of the armour plate......very convincing!

For some strange reason, the tank itself reminds me of a puppy that wants to play! The side view really looks like a puppy with it's front paws down, and it's butt up in the air with it's tail wagging. I now, weird!Big Smile [:D]

WICKED COOL, STEVE!!!!

Well, I already used this in another thread, but I gotta give you one too...

"Veddy NICE!!"

"High FIVE!"

Seriosly, man--you haven't lost anything at all! I've seen these tanks modeled before, but I've never seen one with the stance that you've modelled! I LOVE IT! It looks like a jacked-up Charger or SuperBee! A Muscle Panzer! COOL!!!!

The finish is superb--great, great work!!!!

You've made us wait but it was worth it...just make sure you don't accept any super-saver passes to this blockbuster Steve! Kudos for playing with the suspension and creating a very individual result, this one definitely has a character all its own. Thumbs Up [tup] Thumbs Up [tup]

That's slicker 'n snot on a doorknob.   I love every aspect of the thing. Every speck of dirt and scale of rust.  The Mary Poppins of armor... perfect in every way.

Too cool Steve. THis must be where the "S" tank's lineage came from. Sweet build, nice finnish.

Looks like something out of "Pimp my ride". Need some wheelie-bars or whatever they're called for drag racing. Another finely weathered example. Will look real purrty next to your other works of art.

Steve this is a master piece example of Extreme Weathering!!!! Make a Toast [#toast] As already mentioned I realy llike the stance of the vehicle and how you set the suspension.

Well done Sir!  Can you provide some of the more mundane details for us common folk?  Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

DM - Based on the weathering thread, from a Mr. Clean, I love your dirt covered rusting German hulk!!

Really, the mufflers look great. Love the texture work in the rusting areas. Tracks look great. Hummm...what is the blue thing in the back (not being a Germaholic).

See.....even Mr Clean can appreciate a good dirty build. Like the old saying goes everybody has a rectum and everyone's is different. But that does not mean I don't like to look at a nice butt every now and then!!! We are all modelers (not butt heads) and we all have style.....(Nice backside on the tank)Shock [:O]

It is always great to see a DM build....glad to see you have the sniff of glue back. Keep that dirt and rust coming!!

...again, very nice build...this may be the only paper panzer that i actually like and might even get...

funny thing about the "weathering/rusting" comments...IMO, this is not one of those I would put in the "over-weathering" category, so it is ironic IMO that so many are jumping on your build as an iconic example of uber-weathering...maybe because it come on so close to the thread in question...To me, the weathering is about spot-on...no bright orange patches of rust...I think you achieved a nice look by layering on your weathering...Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]"...a fine grime takes time..."

Hope to see you do one.

As they used to say long ago, http://img93.exs.cx/img93/604/cotilleo2tj.gif"Here's 'da dope"......

Welp, the drawings for the E-10 were conpleted in the summer of 1944 and contracts were awarded to the Klockner-Humboldt-Deutz Magirus Werk in ULM for three completed vehicles. Three hulls were actually made in Silesia (Schleslen), but were not finished when the russians arrived.

Most likely the Russians wound up with 'em and kept them all to 'dem little 'ol selves.

Well I don't have a clue what I'm looking at, but I still remember how to appreciate fantastic weathering!  No other color accepts worn/chipped/dusty weathering as well as shades of dark green.  The PE stuck out especially on this one, the gunner's shield looks great.
