Thanks Edmund. I know what you mean about the Russian armor. I think I need to do more/ I was fondling my 1/16 T-34/76 this afternoon.
Marc
This is very Yummy Marc!
I love the look of russian armor!!
It is over in the group build forum... starts on this page
wing_nut Here is my T-34/72 1941 w/cast turret that was completed for the Winter Warriors-The Wintering GB. Progress and build detail can be seen in the GB thread.
Do you have a link to this thread?
Thanks for making it over here... and for the compliment.
Jeez, where have I been? That thing rocks!
Apprentice rivet counter.
Josh the kit went together pretty well. I had a bit of a warp in the hull but nothing that glue and a clamp won;t take of. I was not to happy with the way the underside of the fenders went together. Dunno what Dragon put the seam like that. It was more of a problem for me since I removed the front and rear mud guards. Something Dragon didn't figure for that's for sure. The fenders needed a lot of scraping as a result since it was more visible. But the rest of the kits went fine. Can't comment on the kit tracks since I used Friuls. I will say this was the worst set of Friuls I've worked with yet. They are very thin and bent easy. That's not their fault because the real tracks where "thin". And there was a lot of flash that needed to be cleaned and most of the holes needed to be drilled out.
Lol, alright, I suppose. If it gets me away from a boot to the rear! I could skim through the entire thread to see how it built up for you but I'll just ask here. So, how'd it build up for you?
I took a peek inside the box and test fit a few odds and ends and it seems to go together really well so regardless of how insignificant mine will look compared to yours it should be a fun build.
Josh
Thanks Steve... that is high praise coming form the king of all things dirty
Thanks Josh but yes you will build the T-34 or I will come out there and kick ya in the hind quarters. Wait... ID, that Idaho right? OK I am not coming out there.... but build it anyway
Psh, I'm not building my Dragon T-34/76 Mod.1941 Cast Turret anymore for this GB ...
wing_nut: I have a tear in my eye...she's such a beautiful thing to look at. You sure didn't hold anything back on this one. AWESOME SIR!!!
My tum to say wow. Thank you guys so much for the compliments.
Doog, I know biffa, and the secret factory. It's too bad that he is kind of in and out here. i really do admire his work.
Manny, this is the Dragon 1941 w/cast turret. For the weathering this is my 1st 100% MIG pigment. Love 'em.
Picks jaw up from floor and staggers back to computer...
WOW !!! This build reminds me a lot of Rick Lawler's work and I consider him a Master...5 star effort here...particularly good weathering w/o a lot of rust (which I think is generally overdone)...nice whitewash, crylic writing and mud effects...is this the Dragon or Tamiya offering?
Musta misseed this one the first timne around, Marc--DAMN, that;'s a sweet job on that model! If I didn';t know better, I'd have sworn I was looking at one of "Biffa"'s models! (Don't know if yupou knew him, but he was a real finishing master along the lines of what you made here)
This is simply BEAUTIFUL!
Thanks Mike. But are you saying you like it only because there is some green peaking through
Seriously, thanks Mike... and yes there is a muddy base in its future.
WOW.....White and dark choclate chips, the flavors mix and ...yummmmm.....same with this!!
Nice work on the faded white wash. Love the look if the markings with the wash. As far as MIG....love their stuff.....the more you try, the more you love.
Now as far as that dio stuff....at least a base mud and snow and yuch......maybe???
Great job....looking forward to seeing it in March!!
Rounds Complete!!
"The Moral High Ground....A Great Place to Emplace Artillery."
WowowowWOW, Marc, this is really a mean looking machine. I am really starting to like the looks of the Russian WW2 stuff, and your mud/weatherbeaten whitewash looks real. I have started using that as a supreme compliment to models, if it looks REAL, IMHO it is as good as it gets.
Nice mud transition, I like it all around.
Bill
Marc,
Sorry about the barrage of questions. It was just those things that caught my eye and I wondered "Hmmm, I think I might know how he did that but I want to know for sure". Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. Solid build sir!
Cheers
Dave
With enough thrust, pigs fly just fine.
Steve, thanks. Up until now I had always figured anding that MIGs could do can be done with some ground pastels. Wow was I wrong. Hey, did I just do a free commercial
Thanks Eric. I have stared at that 1st pic many times wondering the same thing. It does "look" like there is all kinds of room for the adjustment. But it is kind of an optical illusion. I have since adjusted that track so the slack is more on top and that are is more taught.... looks better.
Man that is sweet Marc. I love the worn whitewash. The mud is superb and i like the little touch of steel showing thru the muddy tracks. And looking at that port-side, I can't help but be befuddled that taking a link or two out wouldn't make all right. You know better and I'm not second-guessing you.
Eric
Marc thats one superb looking T34. If that isn't an endorsement for getting some MIG products I don't know what is.
I'm sure you've made Dupes proud!

Thank you very much. Welcome to the forums. I am honored that your 1st post was to my build.
Nice work.
Once again... thanks guys. I really appreciate the comments.
Indy, even though shelf space is at a premium I do believe you are correct on this one.
Bill, yup I got this one in just under the wire.
Heya Marc
Ya know I am lovin it!
Happy New Year
tread
Sweet work Marc and just in time for the end of the year!
BP Models
Nice VERY nice, Nut. I really like these babies looking realisticly filthed-up. The showroom looking models don't even keep me awake. This one's tuff, and sleek in it's grusome way-ALL BUSINESS.'
You know all that MUD screems "Put me in a Dio ! Or at least on a matched muddy base!" Any thoughts on that????
"Well...you gunna pull them pistols, or just whistle Dixie?"
Just outstanding. It looks like the real thing.
