Upgrade set for 1/35 Ural4320 from ICM/Alanger/Revell

Ural4320 (not included) with a part of BRDM’s hull on a trunk, with UB-32-57 rocket launcher mounted on its turret.
These guntrucks were used by Soviet troops in Afghanistan 1987 to protect convoys moved through the valleys and ravines. Rocket launchers have been better for the firing of its high edges than machine guns. They were nicknamed „Метла” ( „Broom” ) by the name of its constructor.

Price for this set is USD40 + shipping (5-7USD via airmail)

PayPal Payments accepted.

If you want to purchase this set, feel free to email me at kamilfeliks@gmail.com for more details.

thank you, i'm glad you like it.

in fact the spare wheel looks like covered with mud, but i wanted to achieve effect of canvas or somehing like that. i choose the color not good enough.

the main problem (and warning for you) is that rubber tires could makes some damages to the styrene parts- sometimes it dissolves the plastic. so i took aluminium foil to divide 'rubber' and styrene, just in case.

If I was to be in the next 'Mad Max / Road Warrior' movie that is the truck needed!

Outstanding finish, the weathering and built up dirt / dust look perfect.

Just one Q:

The spare tire, it seems caked in mud? Kind of a story line of a flat tire in the mud a few miles (Km's) back

In the last week on FOX news they have shown several shots of these things in use in Libya by both Gadaffi's forces and the rebels.  In every shot the launcher was shown as being level with the ground seeming to indicate use in the direct fire mode.  Not knowing the burn time of the rocket motors it is impossible to estimate an effective range.

Love the impressive scratch work on this build!  Please keep us updated.

You know, as I see this one coming to life with this latest update, the thought occurred to me that this must have been quite the experience for the crew/drivers to operate this particular vehicle. Not sure on the range of the rocket pod but I bet you were relatively up close and personal with it in terms of proximity to the target!

the barrel will be casted in resin with its base.

..and I hope you find this building log interesting, not only as a kind of advertisement ..

Looking great!Yes

Just one more Q:

Will the MG barrel be cast with the turret or be a separate brass AM part?

*Also there is a fine line between show & tell vrs. advertising on this site. The way around it is to post a link to the product information, this way interested people can click to check out order information etc. vrs. typing it out on these pages.

Not that I am affiliated other than a part time contributor to FSM magazine. There have been others who crossed the line & their posts & accounts vanished in short order.

Don't want to see that happen to you as I enjoy your posts & excellent work.

SuppressionFire

Taking pre-orders for the conversion set yet?

At this moment only declarations, because I can't estimate the final price of this set now. With no doubt the price will be reasonable :>

But If anyone of you are interested in this set, please, let me know.

SuppressionFire

I take the resin masters will need to be made before you can finish up. This being said I assume you will wait for a resin replica so the original master can be left unpainted in case additional cast molds need to be made?

indeed. I'm going to keep this styrene 'master' in a case it will be necessary to made more silicone casting molds. For boxart etc. I'm going to build it with resin castings

Regardless interesting WIP's. Nice to see some industry insight into the AM.

UB launcher wil be divided for a two parts for casting.

I will not cast it myself, so I couldn't give you WIP pictures of this step.

I am not really into modern armor but you sure have caught my attention.  Great work on scratchbuilding... that's something that scares me. Looking forward to your next update. Big Smile

Looks great!

Is it to be cast in more than one part? If possible WIP's of the casting process would be of interest to myself and most likely others.

Thanks again for the informative WIP's!
