I did consider a Zero wing adjacent to the dozer but we'll see.

That would be pretty interesting. Maybe a rusted Zero wing.

Looking great so far.

Dozer's almost done and working on the base.  I glued a piece of Styrofoam cut at an angle tot the base and covered it with Durhams Rock Hard Water Putty.  I love this stuff.  After I spread it out the way I wanted (no pic, sorry) I gave it a very light dating of the dry RHWP powder and pressed the dozer into it at the angle I wanted.  The powder keeps it form sticking too much.  clean the model right away.  There is a reason it's named what it isWhistling  A heavy coat covering of the powder and let it harden.

Brush away the excess... OUTSIDE*** WITH A MASK... you don't want to breathe this stuff and have it harden in your lungs. The impressions from the 1st steps can be seen and there is a real nice rough ground like surface from some of the powder sticking to the wet putty.

I'm a little surprised that more construction equipment isn't available. They would go quite nicely in a Seebee diorama for instance.

A rust-bucket eh Marc. Well, since you pulled off that winter scheme on the Marder III, I imagine this will be a knock-out  as well.

No plane Waikong,  just rotting away in the jungle. I did consider a Zero wing adjacent to the dozer but we'll see.

A base coat of Tamiya hull red applied, lightened and darkened.

New hydraulic hoses were made from solder.  This one was "broken" as if worn away form aging in the tropical sun.  More to do on that.

Cool! I just picked up up this kit a few months ago in Asia at 50% off along with a bunch of other 1/48 armor.  Well, as much as I could stuff in my suitcase.

Can't wait to see you work your weathering magic on it. Going into a little vingette? Or next to a plane?

Hi guys.  Sorry for no comments or updates but I have been "down the shore" for a few days to clear the head, catch some rays and increase the profits for a few distilleries.  So once I recover form my vacation I'll be progressing on the Rob-rotted dozer.
