Gentleman, I am a Field Marshal.  Let's keep that in mind when considering the car I would be in...

I was stationed at Fort Knox 1984-87, including a stint at the Patton Museum while I was recovering from my parachute accident.  It was a great museum back then, with the diaromas for the Vietnam War just going in.  Got a chance to clamber around the MBT-70, which at the time was at the LST building.  That building housed alot of the armor that wasn't yet rennovated.  It was built to fit the dimensions of an LST during WWII so that the Armor guys could figure out what could fit in.

Shame they are moving it to Benning.  Knox will always be the home of Armor.  Benning was for the busheaters...

I will admit I started as a bush-eater.  Benning Airborne class 26-83. Best class in history.  Black hats can't smoke us now!

But after 26 broken bones and learning how to walk again, I rebranched to Armor.  Easier on the legs.

No one makes a drivable Rommel's Rod........

I too was thinking maybe the 'Manstein's Rod'.

Perhaps a Mercedes with halftrack treads in the back.

I'll have to visit Benning when they get the stuff set up. I visited the Patton museum about five years ago and was amazed with all the cool stuff they had.

I'm seeing gloss black paint, 2-door, what looks like a little up-sweep in the lower windowline and enough colour difference to make me think rag-top... Saab 9-3 convertible.

Or a tricked-out Kubelwagon with a fresh coat of black jackboot polish. Hmm

On the bench: Airfix 1/72 Wildcat; Airfix 1/72 Vampire T11; Airfix 1/72 Fouga Magister
