A chunk is a flooded basement......including my modeling studio....forutunatly no major losses in the modeling area but I will be spending this weekend filling a dumpster with a lot of other water logged items. Then the fun of clean up and rebuilding a finished basement!

Thanks, Leg---I was begining to get my feelings hurt (not that I have feelings) that you didn't reply.  Now I know why.  Best of luck to you in the clean-up...

RedLeg12:

I know exactly how you feel.

Sept 2008 had my basement flood when Chicago metro had a flash flood- needed to rent a gas powered pump to remove the water.

What a mess !

Good Luck with that clean up and repair !

for the flooded.. a bit of advice from the insurance side.. if your cleaning it yourself, once you've removed all the wet stuff you can,, put some fans, blowers in the room and open any windows.. the non heated air will help to remove the moisture from the room and prevent mold.. the blowers that blow air across the floor are excellant.. but any fan or blower will help..Good Luck !

Fortunately for me, Wal-Mart had a 50 pct off sale on Stanley 655702 blower fans a week before and I had three on hand.

They were a life saver for drying out my crawl space.Yes

Guys, thanks for the support.

Yep, we have every fan I can get my hands on to move air. I have a large dehumidifier also running. It is amazing how much stuff can soak up water!!

Again, I will be watching and commenting as this is a metal diversion from what is at hand. Thanks for the support
