About time we had a decent one of those. I think the only other option was Alan. And could do with some more DAK armour.

We have Tony to thank for this...if it hadn't been for his kitbash/scratch-build effort, DML wouldn't have announced a kit of it just as he was finishing his. Stick out tongue

It's on my wish list but I will wait a while for the price to come down before picking one up.

Isn't that always the case? LOL I was in the middle of my old Italeri Marder III H when both Tristar and Dragon announced a new one. Bang Head

Didn't that happen to you recently Bill on one of your WIP's?

I believe that only a handful were made, 13 seems to ring a bell. And they all went to Africa. But i ain't 100% certain.

I've had my eye on this one since it was announced a few months ago. I'm a sucker for SPG's with the SiG 33.

Tigerman, yep happened to me when I did the Flakpanzer 38(t) aka Gepard.

Bish is right, all of the Bison IIs were sent to N. Africa. Didn't have a very stellar service career either...they kept overheating and breaking down due to the over-stressed chassis and desert conditions.

I built the Alan kit a few years ago.  Not really a bad kit, it fact it went together pretty well and certainly looks the part, even had a small PE fret in the kit.  I'll still get this kit.  I love the way Dragon does their kits.  Very, very, very cool.

Don't you dare, I get the FIRST one.Big Smile

Heck they had so much trouble with them, seven were kept for spare parts to keep the others running. They don't even have records that show they made it into battle.

The interior of the Dragon kit is all guess work because there are no know pictures to refer to. It looks to be a pretty good guess though.

I work on this Allan kit from time to time.

Anybody reach for that first one will draw back a nub.Wink

Bill, If you're waiting until the price comes down you may never get one.. In fact, you might ought to buy them while they're cheap... :)

Tony, Nice build!

I have one on order with the LHS because I like the looks of it. I need to drag out my Osprey DAK book for some photos I guess.

Kenneth,

It's not a white box release so I'm not worried about the price inflating...I'll just wait for a handy sale to come along that will put the price at an affordable range (for me) with one of the various online retailers or DragonUSA and then pick one up to add to the stash for a future build. That may mean that I have to wait 6 months or more but in my experience that's been the best strategy for kits that I don't have to have "right now" or aren't white box one-run-only production efforts.
