Sharp work on this one David! I wondered what had happened to it and here it shows up nice and dusty with all the hatches open to show off the details.

Very cool David, nice to see you haven't forgotten about this one and that its still moving along.
Hi David,
Congratulations on your Sd.Kfz 221, great build and great documentation.
Looking forward to your next update! Is that the gun that was referred to as "Puppchen"?
Just out of curiosity, do you have any reference pictures on that Panzer Grey / Brown camo. I have seen a PzKpfw II restored in the scheme but I am still to find a true picture.
Thank you for sharing!
Very Best Regards
Johan
Bill, Does that mean that the offwhite (Ivory, whatever) came with the red oxide primer. Before that the walls are white?

No, the use of Elfenbein (offwhite) was used prior to the switch from green to red oxide primer and was the standard interior color regardless of the underlying primer. So far as I'm aware, German armor never used a pure white for the interior spaces of enclosed vehicles.
Hey Johan,
The gun is actually a 2.8cm Panzerbüchse 41, also known as a squeeze bore anti-tank rifle. I think the Puppchen was rocket launcher.
No reference pictures of the grey/brown camouflage, which in black and white would be very hard to see. It was only said that in the mid 30's the Germans used this paint scheme. I like this interruption and find it far more appealing than standard gray.
Have her painted with a base coat of Testors Panzer Dunkelgelb #2095 with a few drops of Sand #1706 to get rid of the greenish tint. I noticed some spots that needed fixing and had to sand them down, and will probably just cover with the camouflage scheme I have planned.
VERY NICE, I LIKE BOTH OF THESE VERY MUCH
Thanks ps1scw!
So I've added Testors Panzer Schokoladenbraun #2096 and Olivgrun #2097 Freehand with airbrush.
Mmm nice. Looks great. good job onthe cmao.
