It was built during Tigerman's 'Blitz in France' group build and I know lotsa guys don't get to the group builds to often so I thought I'd post it here also.

I hope you guys enjoy the pictures and of course any comments, questions or whatever are always welcome.

Thanks for looking .

Great work on a great kit!  I like how you added appropriate casting marks!

Hiya Bill it's been a long five months with this one, looking closely I can see all your extra work, it's (you know my choice of word) amazing. You pulled it off brilliantly yet again , excellent paint work with subltle weathering, I love the exhaust, exactly the way it should be, and you got the little tank guy done as well, cool. I know you don't finish many models ina a given year or five but this one can easily sit comfortably on the shelf with the rest of your work.

Regards,

Your buddy,

Terry.

Nice work all around on this one tread, really enjoyed seeing it come to life with all the little details and added features over the last few months. The finish on Bourrasque is right on! Beer

Wow, EXCELLENT work tread!!  I remember seeing all the earlier work you were doing with this when the GB started, but I haven't been keeping up as I should! Embarrassed (yeah Eric, I know I'm on house arrest!).  All that work paid off and this is just beautiful!  Another fine piece to add to your shelf and to inspire us!  YesYes

 Hey there William,

Been wondering where you got to. Looks like you've been running with the french.......  http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx170/mqnina/emoticons/11.gif

("Not that there's anything wrong with that of course" : seinfeld)

Lots of great detail put into place here. The wire running beneath the rail to the antenna is a nice touch.... is that a long bit of turning (shaving) from a lathe?

The last and first picture are my favorites.  It's good to see you back here again.

It's been a great ride Tread buddy. Really enjoyed it. I love how all the Char B1's in the build are unique in their own way. Just love those blue hearts.

Thanks again for particpating.

She's a real corker Tread.  Well worth the wait.  Beautifully done.

And Steve, nice to see you back here too.  I missed you return this month since I have not been spending much time in the armor forum these days.  But Like MacArthur, I will return.

Very well done. I like the effect of the rusted exhaust and the grimmy look of the side plating.

hey guys :  )

thanks so much for the nice comments on my B1 bis.. I really appreciate it more than you could know.

most every body says they don't model to please other people, they do it for their own satisfaction, me too, but a nice comment or compliment, well that's even sweeterToast

Roy,(T26E4)  Thanks man I glad you noticed the added casting marks !

Terry my bro'yhanks so much man ...I'll be seeing you on FB soon I am sure : )

Bill (wbill)   Thanks man and it was a pleasure watching your Pz IV come alive !

Ernest (Bufflehead)   thanks for the nice comments, and I will be looking out for more of your fine work !

Stephen (Disaster Master)  Thanks for being there at the right time LOL.... and the wire you asked about is very simple to do...cut some .015-.020 solder and take a dulled razor and roll the solder under it at a 45 degree angle... looks like BX cable when finished.

Eric (Tigerman)  The biggest thank you to you for hosting and your Hotchkiss 38 came out excellent.( you are to hard on yourself buddy) a very cool little model !

Marc (wingnut) Thanks buddy... next time I do one of these I'll get the P.E. like you did..make my life easier . Your Char is a real beauty .

Manstein thank you man for taking a look ...I appreciate it...glad you liked the level of weathering

Mike (Redleg12)  Buddy, thank you so much and you know, I am not ' building again' , it just takes me so freekin long to do one , it seems like there are big gaps of time LOL !

Tim (Iraqiwildman)  thanks and glad you like that grimey look...they were very greasy dirty tanks

Wow  Another beautiful job honey.. I enjoy watching you transform a box of plastic parts into an authentic  reproduction of a full scale tank.. I love your dedication and passion to the research that you partake in, to make sure that everything that you do to the tank is, as close, as can be to the real tank.. I know this was a hard build because of the injury to your hand and was quite painful to, even, hold a brush..

I want to thank you for asking my opinion throughout your build and including me in your enjoyment.. Oh and I want to thank you for all the times on the floor... looking for all those little tiny pieces that you lose down there..(over and over again.. LOL).

For all the wives and girlfriends of guys that build models.. take the time to participate... you may find that you will enjoy it more than you think !!!!

Thank you Bill... Will do that ... I am sure with all the well wishers that will give Bill a positive attitude to recovery as quickly as possible...As Bill is sitting right next to me, he just wanted to say again.. that your Panzer IV was one awesome model.. I too think that models with an interior are extraordinary..

Thanks for the good thoughts !!

Thank you Stephen for the birthday wishes for Bill... You really put a smile on his face Big Smile This is just what he needed to lighten his mood and freely admits he's going to be the big SIX-O (though he does not look it.. cause I keep him so young.. LOL)  I think that when this is over he will feel even younger, as, hopefully, will be, almost, pain-free, and maybe even ride our Harley again... Oh and since he is sitting right here next to me.. he says 'maybe, if you really want to make him feel good, you could sneak him a couple of pix of your secret project'  Whatever that means... he won't tell me.. He says he is very close to you and secrets must be kept..and I respect that..
