I've got a friend who has the same kit. He said he opened the box, slammed it shut and hid under his bed in the fetal position.

LOL! I imagine I would do the same! 1000 pieces - that's more like five kits in my world.

Tojo: The build is looking real good. Can't wait to see it with some paint on. Do you have any special plans for the painting?

Looking real good!  Have same kit in my stash as I think it was my first five kits after a long break.  Maybe I will build it for Pz IV GB some day... Whistling

I will be following with interest... good luck!

I have been working my way thru this kit,DML 6301 over 1000 parts. So far so good, moving slowly ,the fit has been good and no issues. Some of the PE is so small I opted for the plastic pieces. Most sub-assemblies are together and almost ready for some paint.Bill Plunk's blog although not the exact kit,has been helpful once again. This kit has been a real challenge, but I feel I am doing okay with it.
