What can $30 buy you?
Posted by tigerman on Friday, June 15, 2012 4:50 PM

I answered a craigslist ad and wound up with my biggest score ever, all for only $30. I thought it was a typo. Whistling

  • 26 1/35 kits
  • 12 1/72
  • 4 board games
  • misc.

Sadly, very few will go into the stash, the rest ebay. I figured I can make some easy money off these and then get something that I really want, like the new Dragon Maultier. I can hook that 20mm onto the flatbed. Toast

Was it a lady dumping her ex-boyfriend's stash? Was there a pile of cut up clothes littering the front yard?Propeller

Apparently a friend moved and couldn't take them all with him. So.........

initially the ad said 15 kits, but I only saw half and it was good enough for me.

Some spendy kits in that pile. Big Smile

Only $30 for all of those?!?!?  Are you sure you didn't break into somebody house to steal those but you felt guilty so you left $30 on the guy's work bench?

One other time I bought about 10 kits for $20. However, they were almost all started and were in various degrees of finished. Many were not that far along. Easily around $250-300 retail.

You got a great deal and I'm glad for you, but I'm also sad for the modeler who had to move and leave behind some very nice kits that he probably spent good money on. The HB Amtrac alone is worth over $30. Super find!
