That's actually a neat concept, just build something nekkid. Might be fun to try sometime. Keep up the good work!

Mike and Mike (I must be seeing double from too much time with the Opti-Visor)  Thanks guys.

Another quickie.

With the firewall corrected it makes room for the radiator surge tank and voltage regulator that were scratched and hook up with hoses and cables. Ignition wiring and a few other cables added for something to see under the hood.

That's a nice looking chunk of resin. What type of wire do you use for wiring harnesses?

Shell, Rambo... thanks for looking in guys and the compliments.

The plugs wires are Uni Wire for fly tying that's .006 in diameter.  The hoses are different sizes of solder rolled under a file for texture with some tiny brass hex nuts for fittings.

A bit more forwad  progress.  Head lights attached and wired,  Fender mount strip w/olts heads added.  Center section of the hood installed.  Nut reating wire (?) added tot he drive sprockey hib.

Now I need some opinions.  There is more "going on" on the left side of the engine so I was going to have at least that side open.  Looking at the ref pics, whens the hood is opened it lays over the other side more or less folded.  How did they have both sides open at the same time?  If I want to open both side...Was there a hook or catch to put them together to stand up... well, straight I guess?  The opinion part is do you think I should have one side closed?  I am leaning that way.

1st...sorry for misspelling your name.  Between calling you "Shell" for so long... and only see the ... er... well... not the truck, or your name underneath, in your solo build picStick out tongue

Good pics.  That looks like the way to go.  Where did you find those pics?  Love to get a closer look at the clips or straps at the center of the hinge line.

Boyd don't you dare sleep between now and the show.  GET BACK TO THAT BENCH MISTER!

But thanks for the sentimentSmile  Completion by the show seems less likely every time i look at 14 page instructions for all the brass and the sheer amount of brass left to do.Tongue Tied

Looking good Marc! I would vote for one side open and one side closed...that way it would be kind of a strip-tease effect to go with the "naked" theme. Stick out tongue That and it will provide some visual contrast/interest to the front without obscuring the detail/view into the cab and other areas that you're also working on.

Hi Marc Smile

Looking good man..I also would definitely go with the passenger side of the hood up to show off the goodies !

gotta love those flatheads (and your wiring jobYes)  ... at least in those days you could find the plugs !.

You haven't installed the doors yet, but before you even ask, I would have them open also !

looking real good !

Thanks tread.  Gonna go with passenger side all buttoned up and the drivers side... well... I was gonna say "With its fly open"  But since it a naked model... NO PANTSStick out tongue

And Rambo... you were right.  Since the doors are not done ye, and they are on page 3... I am on page 3Sad

Completion by Sep 29 is questionable. So much left ot do.
