Good pics.  That looks like the way to go.  Where did you find those pics?  Love to get a closer look at the clips or straps at the center of the hinge line.

Mark ............ errrr , Marc ..........LOL . Looks like the same letter is the one that mispells our names . Yes

Boyd don't you dare sleep between now and the show.  GET BACK TO THAT BENCH MISTER!

But thanks for the sentimentSmile  Completion by the show seems less likely every time i look at 14 page instructions for all the brass and the sheer amount of brass left to do.Tongue Tied

A bit more forwad  progress.  Head lights attached and wired,  Fender mount strip w/olts heads added.  Center section of the hood installed.  Nut reating wire (?) added tot he drive sprockey hib.

Now I need some opinions.  There is more "going on" on the left side of the engine so I was going to have at least that side open.  Looking at the ref pics, whens the hood is opened it lays over the other side more or less folded.  How did they have both sides open at the same time?  If I want to open both side...Was there a hook or catch to put them together to stand up... well, straight I guess?  The opinion part is do you think I should have one side closed?  I am leaning that way.

Shell, Rambo... thanks for looking in guys and the compliments.

The plugs wires are Uni Wire for fly tying that's .006 in diameter.  The hoses are different sizes of solder rolled under a file for texture with some tiny brass hex nuts for fittings.

That's a nice looking chunk of resin. What type of wire do you use for wiring harnesses?

Mike and Mike (I must be seeing double from too much time with the Opti-Visor)  Thanks guys.

Another quickie.

With the firewall corrected it makes room for the radiator surge tank and voltage regulator that were scratched and hook up with hoses and cables. Ignition wiring and a few other cables added for something to see under the hood.

That's actually a neat concept, just build something nekkid. Might be fun to try sometime. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Herc

Thanks Tread.  I used the kit tires.  I think the "flattening" looks really well done on them.

Yes Looking sweet Marc !  ... Will you be using the  'flattened' kit tires on the front?  I know guys either hate them or love them and there are a lot of after market ones available.  ...  Don't put the pressure on yourself..

It is supposed to be enjoyable !  ...the dash looks great installed Big Smile

Thanks guys or all the comments.

Tread... the engine comes in the set along with a mountain of resin stowage.

Mike... It's 3 1/2 weeks.  I am feeling that pressure so don't make it worse.

I bought Toadman's M2A1 photo reference, a $5 download of 230+ pics of an easily and late version, and discovered that the firewall is wrong in the kit. The open top cube in front of the drivers area is neither a cube nor open.  Cutting that at an angle would have been less of a nightmare had it been done before all the delicate brass.

The side had a bit of a toe in and the delicate brass louvered section was distorting when installed.  I modified the kit part, added some styrene "angle iron" in the back and it straightened it all out.

Dash and glass are in but ya can't see the glass.
