Tiger I Initial - WIP
Posted by rtvmodeler on Friday, January 4, 2013 1:41 AM

Smile Hello friends!

Well, I started the Tiger. Will be an Out of Box except for one addition as grills.

Despite being a somewhat veteran kit, the pieces has been well fixed. Only I made a little adjust in the rear part, good detail.

Regards!
Rodolfo

It's a well-fitting kit, but Tamiya cheated us by reusing their "early" top deck instead of an "Afrika" top deck. I wrote a list of problems with Tamiya's "Tiger I Ausführung Afrika".

Looking good Rodolfo!  What are you using for the tubes leading to the Feifel cleaners?  The don't look like kit parts.

I don't think the inside of the hatch would be green... I think those Tigers were originally painted in the tropical brown, and the green came later.

Smile  Thanks friends!

@ David.- Thanks for your observations!.   The hatch and those Little details will be painted individually.  Yes, the topic of the colors is very extense and at the end, nobody agrees with only one versión.  I applied a clear color and I hope it changes with the filters and washes.

The number 731 carried near this color: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_KnFW042MUis/TQddSLvrmtI/AAAAAAAAAiA/UDDMo9yPETw/s1600/tiger01.jpg

More updates:

Aplying the last color with - Black-green XF-27 (15%), Olive-green XF-58 (15%), Dark-yellow XF-60 (30%) and Flat yellow (40%).
