Tony: I've been eyeballing the Dragon M7 Priest but have been holding off buying anything else until I actually build something. Will be following your build here vicariously  Yes

I wonder why no one else is showcasing their building of this kit? I know it's being built but never see a blog????

I'm not too proud or bashful to show my fanny, at least i'm trying so others don't make the same mistakes I do.

It's a hobby and only plasticDunce

Well as long as they got the "front towards enemy" part right, who cares if they drive on the wrong side of the road or add un needed "u"s in words like color and honor.Wink But I must confess that I do think a Formula 1 racer looks far better than a NASCAR racer, but I will go watch either oneCool

Thanks for the WIP thread on this subject Mutt. I do want to get one of these kits one day. For now yours will do vicariously.Toast

I have often wondered what the differences were between the Sexton and the Priest other than the guns and the driving positions. It looks like the basic vehicles were built by two different manufacturers. Was the Sexton built on the Canadian Ram chassis? I know one was British and the other American designs, but there must be more to the story.

Man, that detail is SICK! Remember when we used to go through the most ridiculous means to get those casting numbers? Cutting raised letters and numbers off of sprue pieces with razor blades, slicing thumbs and fingers, etc?

Gosh--kids today don't know how good they've got it! lol

Yes the Sexton is based off of the Ram and used the 25pdr instead of the Priest's 105mm on a M3 Chasis.

A lot fewer parts for the gun than what Bronco's  25pdr has.

Have a GREAT weekend people

Tony, this is an amazing looking kit!  The detail Dragon has incorporated is outstanding!  Looks like you're doing another bang-up job with it!

BTW, does anyone know the exact size of the 25pdr barrel/ammo??  I read that its between 86-89mm?

Back Again

Since the side panels are all one piece everything has to be on the money in between or you'll have gaps.

I spent hours today cutting, sanding, pulling, pushing and clamping before reaching a point I can live with.

I didn't have that problem with the last two Bronco kit's I built, fit was a dream on them.

Oh well that's what makes this hobby so interesting.

WOW, a busy interior there, Tony---awesome, once again!

Saw one of these today, but didn't have the chance to get any interior shots. They actually asked me to leave just after I snapped these last photos--it was closing time, but I was still running around snapping whatever I could, lol. I'm going back next weekend!

Yeah BuddyYes

That's a later model Karl, the head lights are mounted up high to avoid the muzzle blast.

If you would and can get some interior, rear and deck shots.

You da man

Hi Pvt Mutt

I've been slightly organised, & have posted some 20 pics of a Sexton under refurb, taken on the Isle of Wight 2012.

This vehicle was in running order, but needs a little TLC, so interior construction is quite prominent!
