I am definitely a fan of your light weathering; just enough without making it look like you're hiding errors with mud. That Chevrolet is such a classic kit. I have one I built in the late 70s or early 80s, but doesn't look anything near as good as yours does.

Like this a lot.  Especially the ammo out where you can get to it.  Lots of these LRDG builds forget the ammo.  Know if I was manning a gun I'd like to have it handy when the going got real hot, and not have to dig through the various packages and tarps, etc.

I never have been a big fan of heavy weathering because if you go too far it takes away from the model.  Not that I never mudding things up a bit.  I just try not to get carried away.

WOW !!! I'm simply amazed at the high level of workmanship that you Armor guys continue to display. I am primarily an Aircraft guy, mostly because when it comes to Armor I don't know very much. Thanks for taking the time to post your work. I can study the photos and learn from them. I do have some 1/48 Armor kits to build and display alongside some Aircraft. Your LRDG is very nice, but you made a mistake due to Tamiya. Your LRDG is a "R patrol" operated by a Kiwi crew, the logo on the bonnet for "R patrol" is a Wei Tiki green with a red tongue and not a Kiwi on a red earth. The Kiwi logo was for the "T Patrol". In the meantime, vehicule names of a "R Patrol" start with a "R" like Rotowero, Rotorao....Unfortunately, if we can find a lot of informations about "T Patrol" armement and  the name of each vehicule with its patrol number (T9, T8,T7...), it is not the same for a "R Patrol".
