Man, I somehow missed this build. That thing just looks freaking heavy!! What a very realistic finish you have achieved. Thanks for sharing it!
Eric
That's an awesome looking build carl, glad you shared the finished pics.
Hope we see some more of you back here.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

I built the 'Revell' unamoured version of this. I certainly wish I had your skills...cheers....Kenny
No kidding Ernest ! I looked at the kits from Dragon and Trump and they are about half of what I spent on the upgrading of this old kit .......and with state of the art details .
Oh well . It was the challenge that interested me .
Thanks my friend for your comments .
Shellback Kinda nuts to put this much money into this old kit but it will be fun and interesting getting all of these a.m. goodies attached to this old piece of plastic .

You're a man after my own heart Carl! Is there a name for this mentality?
"Gotta Make the Old Kit Better With Tons of AM Parts Even Though There's a Newer, Cheaper, Way More Accruate Kit That Doesn't Need Anything" syndrome??
Anyway, sorry to come in at the end of the Blog. You did a superb job with the old kit and all the goodies. Definitely a labor of love that shows in the finished build!

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
Eric my friend .........thanks for the great complement !
Truely stunning work my friend. Your a skilled cameraman as well as modeler. Weathering is top-notch. This is just another fine work of art that has to put you in the top group of armor builders in the forum.
I've been absent from these forums for awhile but I did finish this build in the meantime . Not as much time at the bench lately .
MAN! another gem.
Can't figure out how it is I miss your builds as they are in progress, but there you have it.
At least I can see the final act, now that I have catch-ed up.

Building the perfect model---just not quite yet
Wow Carl she's a beauty. Extremely impressive work.
Just keeps getting better friend.
I've been slow on this one but here an update . I used Mig pigments , artist oils and some enamels in the weathering process . Next will be building the 37 mm .
Put some wear and tear on the interior .
Ken , I agree the tracks links look the same . I cant say if they'll fit or not . I read where the Trumpeter Sdffz 8 uses 56 of the kit provided links per side . The Friuls have 120 links .The pads are black rubber but weathering will change the look of them .
Hey guys thanks for the good words ! Its great to get back on the forum and hear from you guys !
I sprayed a coat of future overall to get ready for weathering . It made the camo pop .
Thanks panzer88 I think some research is in order
