The one without the muzzle brake, that's the L/70, the later version.

Now, Im confused....

The kit instructions for earlier version do not have zimmerit,, while the older one has...

Im building the one pictured in the top right corner (cammo) of the box art. Is it an earlier or older version?

The early Jgdpz IV's definitely had zimmerit. Late ones were very rare to be seen in zimmerit. The pattern is typical trowel lines.

it is going to be early version, I dont have skills to do the zimm..

Actually, I believe the early would have been more likely to have Zimmerit (up to Sept. '44) than the late.

Tojo62, I bet the Dragon kit has a lot more details and features, this is very simple no PE, no metal barrel, not huge decals.... I like this simple kit, since I can focus on a cool cammo painting and dio...still thinking...what to do.

I will keep eye on yours...VERY closely... =)

Your kit looks great and I've seen your work, enjoy !!

I'd go for the the L/70 version, looks more potent and has more character.  The three return rollers could be found on either vehicle, but is more common on the later version. (3 return rollers introduced in Sept. 1944, while production of the L/48 ended some time in Nov. '44).

---------------------------------------------------------------

About the new Dragon L/48, it does have a few accuracy issues, the least of which is the barrel.  It is too fat as a short cut was taken by lobbing off the front end of the long gun version.  Full low down can be read here:

Jack

Looking forward to your outcome. I liked that T-62 you just finished. Are you doing the early or late version?

So, here we go again.. another kit, another opportunity for creativity.

Not much to show so far, just the simple OB build..but I want to create a dio with the Jagd with some part inside a pond, or river... well see...
