on the road wheels. Maybe it's just because all of the instructions are set up that way, so constructing the wheels is allways first.
One other thing I don't like; choosing which one to build when you have so many choices. Big Smile [:D]

I would have to agree with roadwhells but there is the zimmerment coating that is a pain too.

i can agree with roadwheels, almost picked up the mobelwagon today until i looked at the roadwheels, no thanks on that many.

Ok so far since road wheels are the main thing, would it not be great if the pre finished stuff would apply to them. Just pull them out of the kit and they are ready to go. I could go for that.

Ever try a Tiger 1 Early version?! I always go through torture just puting the 30 something wheels on! One time I used super glue to glue the whole suspension and wheel assembly together and glued one side's swing arms the wrong way. Yep, took more time to fix it than to build the model itself! Angry [:(!]

Premade road wheels would be nice. I liked the Academy M60 kit. It came with vinyl caps to fit over the roadwheels. Saved me the trouble of painting the rubber road contacting rim. At least that...

I have had it lucky with the road wheels on the few kits i have done, The thing i hate is when just as your about to put that super small peice on you drop it and it is sucked into a blackhole and now you stuck trying to scratchbuild something to replace it.

Heck on any model: sanding and filling in ejector pins marks, removing mould seams!
On armor specifically: doing individual track links, but if done right are worth the effort!

Road wheels are a pain, and cleaning up after a sloppy manufacture is rotten too. However like all hobbies its a labor of love. BUT I think the greatest pain is when the barrel of the cannon on some tanks comes in two halves, and those two halves dont wanna mate evenly. if you sand em the barrel is uneven. And then you have to do what you shoulda done in the first place, goto the shop and have them order a white metal cannon.

definatly painting rubber on road wheels , so tedious , so boring ! but after the road wheels , I would say drybrushing , it just plain ruins brushes , and tears off your hard work on small PE parts !

Welcome thundergod.

#1 - realizing there is no way I'm gonna' get my model to look as good as the pictures on the box.

#2 - spending 20 hours building Model Kasten tracks and having them fall apart.

#3 - looking at all the ejector pin marks on the tracks that led me to buy the MK tracks in the first place.

#4 - Aber 3 part tool clamps and workable hinges!
