i dunno but how come i like building the road wheels? lol
when i build them, i clip the road wheel parts and line them up together with the half of the road wheel adjacent to them, put all the needed poly caps then put a drop of glue on each road wheel half then join them from the road wheel that is first in line up to the last. this way, it's faster. painting them is quite annoying.

nothing beats those individual tracks wherein each track link is composed of three parts. ay yay yay!

Earlier in another forum, I have already mentioned I dislike building roadwheels. Now I recall one part I truly HATE no matter what kit I build(armour, planes, etc) --CLEANING UP MY AIRBRUSH. It's time consuming, messy and I have to do it.

It is a very close tie between the whole undercarraiage up to the sponsons, and the indy tracks-both are dislikeable.

Individual link tracks! painting the rubber on roadwheels is the worst part of building the wheels.

Hey thanks for the welcoming I am thinking of doing the abrams gb. I have the dragon m1a1ha which was my first armor purchase .......the indivdual track links kinda scared me away from it. I purchased it in 95 sometimeago anyway I just picked up the baghdad version and it is the same kit except for figures and a few misc. things. so not sure which to do. Wish I had a digital camara so I could share some of my work. Well either way this should prove to be a fun time. Happy moddeling.

Hmmm, my wife's complaint is that I spend too much time doing hobbies, and not enough doing housework. Geeze, go figure!

I am new to armor, I only have two vehicles.
A Mobelwagen and a FistV APC.
I think the worst part is those individual tracks segments. I have been putting it off until I realized that either it is going to work or it isn't. If they don't, then I am in the same boat as I was before I started. BUT, if they do work, then I am way ahead of the game.

Once the treads are on, everything else will be easy.

Oh, about building to what the box looks like. I read someplace how you can tell if you are not an amateur. It is when you stop trying to make your model look like the box or like someone else's fantastic build.

I'm still an amateur I still look to the box and I am still annoyed with TREADS! Big Smile [:D]
