Thanks for taking a look Gamera, Mr T, Captfue and Griffin.

Griffin- I had to go measure the base I had no clue to the size. It is roughly a 12" x 12" base.

Awesome job! That's a big one. What are the base dimensions?

That's some really sharp work, on the halftrack, figures, base, everything. Yes

Great job with the tracks and your figure painting style looks good.

The Panzerwefer 42  is now completed.  I just finished the Diorama and installing all the elements today. I am very happy with the weathering on the model and figurers came out.   Working under the trees caused me all kinds of problems with my big hands.  All my weathering products used on this model are from Vallejo, I really enjoy working with them, but there is a learning curve with them. The book Airbrushing and Wreathing Techniques by Rob Ferreira was a great help.  The other challenge is trying to make things look random, I think I did OK.  I just want to say thanks to everyone that dropped in to look at this WIP.
Robert
Now on to the finished diorama.

Lookin' good - I especially like the trees. The tarp also looks nice. Good luck with your project and have a nice day

It’s time for another update on the project. I am making good forward progress on the base and accessory items.  Finished with the trees this week and they are not exactly what I was looking for but I am fairly happy with them.  I think they look really good for steel wool. I did order some Super Sage trees form Scenic Express for my next trees.  The base has also been completed and covered in plaster cloth. I also am about half way done with my tarp on the fuel drums. The next update should be the final one with the complete base and model.

The first three pictures cover the general layout for the completed base.

Modelrob,
The devil http://www.freesmileyfaces.com/files/holidays/halloween-smiley-faces/69.gifis in the details. That's
why it takes so long.
Don't worry, the final result will be much
more rewarding.

I am still cursing away on the Panzerwefer 42 project. I have just finished up the painting of the figurers and ammo crates and tubes.  I am pretty happy with how the figures came out.  The wood crates I am still out on. The grain looks a bit heavy in the picture but in person from a normal viewing distance they look good. Well I will need to start the base and finish wreathing everything once the base is completed.  I am seeing a finish line in the distance finally.

It’s hard to believe that it has been this long since an update on this project. I am still fighting my way through it.  Been really busy and wreathing always seems to take me forever to do.   The vehicle has been dry brushed, washed and chipped. Some dusting has been done. Need to finish it up. Procrastinating is one of my bigger weaknesses. I used new Vallejo weathering products and really like them. Need to practice some more with the streaking looks better in person than in the picture.  I also finished up the fuel drums that will go with the dio.   I am hoping that it will not be this long for the next update.

Thanks Bish, I think I will drybrush it and then I am going to try a filter to bring it all togather.
