Gamera

Toshi that looks pretty good. As I told WannaBeAFarmBoy you can drybrush the mud with a tan paint to give the impression of the outer coat of mud drying out. Looks like in your weathering set there's a few lighter shades there.

Thank you Gamera!  I do have lighter colors and will try some dry brushing.  See the photos below.  It's not that great but it was interesting.

Gamera

Hey Toshi, hope you're enjoying your change of pace.

Few easy things you can fix here if you want. Take some sheet plastic and cover the holes in the bottom and sides and then putty it over and sand it even. Tamiya used to put a motor and battery box in some of those kits and the holes are left over from then.

Very cool!  I never thought of that.  Thank you for the tip.  I learn something new everyday.  Too bad Tamiya doesn't still provide motors in these kits anymore.  It would have made this build an interesting one.  Gamera, thank you for the support you've given me.

I'll be assembling 2 drive sprokets, 2 idler wheel, and 14 road wheels for this step.

I purchased this Vallejo paint set to see if I could weather some aircraft but I never got around to it.  I'm glad I waited as now I can utilize this weathering kit for the Leopard build.  This will be my first time that I've used anything like this.  I just hope I don't screw it up!  LOL!

To my fellow forum members,

A month ago, Mrs. Toshi took me on an outing to dinner at Olive Garden.  Prior to dinner, she stopped at Hobby Town USA.  There, she got me four different kits, three of which were aircraft and one of which is a tank as you see here.

I hope to be able to build this kit with your help as I've only built a Tamiya Bulldog and a Academy M1A1.  So my skill level is minimal at best.  Currently, I'm in a situation of where I'll be moving to a smaller condo on November the first.  At some point, I'm going to have to close down the bench for the move.  Until then, I'll keep on building.

I hope you enjoy this Leopard build as much as I'll enjoy building this kit.  Thank you so much for your support in my WIP build!
