Excellent finish Bish! I really like your weathering and base on this build. Everything looks just right. 

You are oh so right about memory and time marching on making things fuzzy. 

I also agree with the other comments on the completed build! Excellent, as per your usual work. Although you have created some other wonderful dios, I particularly like this understated one. A simple base and a little grass - perfect! Cheers! I'll drink my next Boddington's in celebration of your latest.

M1, while i do like doing the dio's, i do enjoy ones like this as i can relax a bit and not have to worry about figures and a large base.

Great build! The pigments look great and the tank and goes nice with the base. How did you get the grass to stand upwards in tufts? When I apply grass I do it by hand and tends to lay flat. Do you buy premade tufts? Or do you use the static grass applicators to get it upwards?

Kien, i use a mix of woodlan scenics flock, some of which does stand and Greenland grass tufts, which come in a mix of sizes.

Bruce, yes it is. Its a bit thick for my likeing. I prefer to use a material that similar to that used on pool tables which i used to be able to buy in rols from a local DIY store. But they seem to have stopped selling it.

Very good looking build. Gotta love the heavy SPGs.

Thanks Mike. I did have an adfvantage with tis one in that i have seen them close up in action. But i also found a lot of photo's on Prime Portal to be really useful.

Personally I think even a simple base looks better than plonking the model down on a table. I may have to try some small bases like you use for my aircraft too. 

Thanks G, and i agree. I don't have a single model thats not on a base of some kind. If for no other reason it means i don't have to handle the kit.
