That Tamiya Lee is an oldie but goodie. It is actually the Diesel engined version. Which I believe did not see combat service with US forces in Africa.

This figure set would help for your plan, but it’s based off the Jim Belushi remake rather than the Bogie original Sahara

F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!

U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Building my "first" armor kit...

I think when I was in elementary school (before 1960) I built this Aurora Stalin Tank kit:

Flash forward to 2018, and I'm building Tamiya's M-3 Lee medium tank. So I guess this is my "second" armor kit build. Sure is different from building airplanes that's for sure. I'll take some pictures later to show my progress.

Right now i'm assembling the bogies, most of the other construction is complete. Soon the tank will be headed for the paint shop.

The Humphrey Bogart movie "Sahara" is one of my all time favorite movies so something similar to "Lulabelle" is what I hope to accomplish with this kit. I'm also looking at a couple of 1/35 scale figure sets that will allow me to assemble a crew resembling the movie cast.

OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...
