Thank you Gamera, you always have some good comments
Yeah, that's some nice work!!! Really like how the camo came out.

TigerII Outstanding work on the tank and the figures. The camouflage smocks look great. Q: Did you use transfers or decals for the figures' insignias on their collars and on the TC? You did an awesome job with them.

Thank you yes Tamiya sells a decal set for different army and SS insignia
Gorgeous work, love the detailing on the tank and the paint work on both it and the figures. Even your photograph is top shelf.
Thanks for sharing.

I'm calling this one done, very happy with the outcome except for my SS Pea camo, but other then that I do like the way the figures turned out,and there positions on the tank. Thanks for looking, and your comments.

Anthony,
That's a good looking Panther! I can't wait to see it with figures.
Gary
Very nicely done Anthony. You made the tracks look too easy...

Thank you gentlemen, figures are progressing well.
Excellent work Tojo. BTW you can never go wrong with a circle template. I have a Panther D in my stash and seeing this as the 2nd one on the forum, I might bring it to life.
Wow, that looks good! Love the wear and tear on the skirts!
And nice work there on the tracks!
I attached the tracks and shurzen to the vehicle and added some chipping. Its just about done, just need to paint up and add my figures. Thanks for following along and the comments.
Here is my process for handling Dragon's Magic Tracks, first I assemble the whole run at one time minus 1 or 2 links to allow some room,in this case the 87 links answer was spot on,then I apply Tamiya Extra Thin to the entire length and wait 25 minutes for it to partially dry.
Then I flex the entire run around the road wheels and sprockets and mold in the appropriate sag and hold it in place with the cotton balls. Once dry overnight I remove the entire run and paint it with my go to track base coat,Tamiya XF-84 Dark Iron,I will wash it and weather with pigments and return it to the tank for permanent installation. The Panther is probably one of the easiest tanks to do this because of all the room, but the shurzen holders made it a little tight.

Very sharp Tony. Great details and the camo looks fantastic. Always love your armor builds with the figures
Thanks,
John
Thank you Mike and Gamera for the comments.
The camo looks good to me! She's coming along nicely!
That looks really good, Tojo!
If you thats not your best camo, it's still really well done!

I got the camo done I filtered it and gave it a pin wash with Mig products,I intend to add some chipping and pigments.I ended up being happy with the camo although not my best.I also did a little painting on the figures

knox I don't know a lot about tanks, but I find it incredible that this is your " break" from another project. Tank builders really are a strange lot, in a good way.

Well, very little masking unless you're building something with a camo scheme, no (or few) clear parts, and you can just assemble the whole darn thing except the wheels and tracks and spray... I'd consider them easy or just low stress compared to other modeling...
She's coming along great there Tojo, nice to see the whole 'road wheel garden' as someone here once called it!
Thanks, don't they call armor building, the "dark side"
Small update,I got my roadwheels painted, filtered, and washed all 36 pieces, I'm pretty happy with the look, maybe some dried mud,I'm definitely keeping the overslept weathering light on this one.Well I can't put it off anymore, gotta paint the dreaded camo pattern this week, for me always a little dicey trying to get the right look.
Looks good!
Templates seem to be the easiest way to paint the road wheels I've found. Good idea!
Thank all for following along and commenting.I didn't do a lot this week, but I did lay down a basecoat of good old Tamiya XF-60, I also started on a 3rd figure.
" target=""> I also started on the inner set of roadwheels,it's less daunting to do a set at a time, instead of all at once.I used my circle template to set the rubber edges. " target=""> " target="">

Yes, I have to concur, those figures look good. They're going to make an excellent addition to this model.
Yeah nice!!! Love the Panther and the figures!
Man, that looks super good. I really like those figures too. I have been eyeing them for awhile now and may have to pick them up.
