JHulk: did they have a name designation for this tank ? IE panther , Tiger , Maus etc ? Mouse ? for the biggest tank yet , now thats funny , even Hitler had a sense of humor at times, ( though it seems not very often !) They were runnig out of the big cats names , perhaps the sabre tooth tiger !? Now that was one big mean a!@ Cat ! Cool [8D] Just an idea Cool [8D]

Almost like a past, present, and future group build. (I'm done, you're building, and Bill's gonna build next year!)

What do you think about a "Bismark" kind of camo? You know, sharp, disruptive angles of gray, black, and white. That's what I originally wanted to do with my E, but chickened out and went with the "Urban Ambush." (Which I like, too!)

Looking forward to seeing what you choose!

Dazzle camo on a tank, sounds cool...or maybe a splinter scheme...or WWI lozenge...
Am I helping or should I shut-up? Big Smile [:D]

Well spector822002 the KT is already worked into the E's plans, I have 5 KT's altogether and this one was a freebee so no $$ lost and I have a double of it actually triple of it.(The ardennes KT.)

Claymore68 all ideas are welcome the more the marrier. Its when it come to paint it when the problem will unfold.

So a Luffwaffa patteren on a tank? huuuuuuuumumumm

I'm here too, I just don't have anything good to offer....

If you are looking for a scheme, there is a real interesting winter whitewash on the sheet I am trying to send you!Black Eye [B)] It is a sort of cross hatch pattern. I might have to go round to my girlfriend's house and use her scanner.Tongue [:P]

The more, the merrier!

spector822002, the beauty of doing the E-100 as an operational vehicle is that it is purely speculative! The only historically accurate (or at least, verifiably so) model would be the turretless (and at first, running gear-less) hull sitting in or just outside the workshop after the Allies overran the factory. Those are the only pix I've ever seen of the beast, too.

There was no name designation for the E-100 as far as I know. Again, time for more speculation! "Sabre Tooth Tiger" Would be cool! What was the actual name for that prehistoric cat...Smilodon? Nah, that wouldn't work!
Super Tabby? Hmmm....Wink [;)]

T-God, the colors I used were Tamiya enamel Medium Gray and Tamiya acrylic NATO Black. The weathering and whatnot kinda grayed out the whole thing in the end.

Wow thats some wheatering job then. it sure doesnt look nato.

And speculation is greatandnot great at the same time. I have to many speculations going on in my head. J-hulk did you have trouble with the muzzle brake? If you messed with it at all. The PE seems to be to short to go all the way around the muzzle.

How about E-100 Possum? Possums can give you a nasty nip, and they are a bit more fearsome than mice.

Hopefully scanning that stuff tonight, Thundergod.

Hey, Guys. Didn't want you to think I'd forgotten you. I was in St Louis last week and it's my first day back.

Since they named the other one the Maus, maybe this one could have been called the rat!!

Im thinking it would of been the "LION "since he is king of the jungle and this tank would of been just that.Smile [:)]

That would work. I vote we Unofficially adopt Lion as the name of the e-100. All in favor...

Ok I know its not much but heck that cutting of the drivers hatch took me a few plus the what if factor is getting me. everything in tan is from the KT and the barrel as of now is a jagdpanther and the stock put together. Got the aber 128mm on order. I textured the mantel to give it the torch cast look and will be giving it the cast look soon with Mr. surfacer. Big Smile [:D]

Wow, Ron! Really great. You really do nice work! I wouldn't even know where to start with the kind of stuff you're doing. FSM should take note and let you turn this into a published article. I'm serious!

Well all I got her painted in ambush, well the ambush isnt on it yet the camo is though. I will put up some pics friday or saturday. Had to wait for great models to ship my kits so I could use the command antenna mount for the pariscopes off the jagdtiger. Speaking of it is also complete. I will post those as well.

Strange that they're here, yes! You must've replaced your E pix with these babies, somehow.

But nice builds, nonetheless!

Ok here she is,still got to wheather her and add the driver IR. I will get some better pics up when I can.Started work again so dont havethe time like before.Sad [:(]
Now this is no way in any form built to accuratcy just pure fun, though alittle research did go into it,as for the markings I have warrior figures to go with it which are in the 2nd. SS div. so this is why there is the S13# and heavy tank markings, so you could say it could be.Any way I hope this sneak peak holds ya over cause she aint done. Can never leave good enuff alone the saying goes.Big Smile [:D]Tongue [:P]

Looking excellent Ron! You sure do have a knack with camo painting. Glad you put the IR on it, too. Looking forward to finished pics.

Don't worry about accuracy with this fella, I think to be truly accurate it would need to be in pieces!

True. However I still wanted to put some reasoning to the markings for the what if factor. Thanks for the camo complement Matt. I want to do the ambush on it but I think I would just mess it up cause I havent done one yet. On the flip side there is alot of first for me on this kit.

Nice work, Ron! I love the camo, and of course that looooong gun.
The kill stripes are a nice touch, too.

I can't tell in the pix, but didja drill out those holes on the skirts (2 each)? Ref pix I have show those holes go all the way through the skirts, and I suppose they were used when removing and replacing those heavy babies.

The holes next to the others with bolt heads? No I did not. I will though. The barrel I think is cool to. Too bad I dont have the original one. It was as long as the tank, only it was a 88 insted of the 128.The kill rings I am having aliitle problem with though and that is they ripped in a few places so got to think of a way to fix that cause I like it alot.
I got toget some better pics though cause I textured the turret and mantlet along with the exhaust. all of this adds so much. And I cant decide if I want to add the driver IR site or leave it off.I willput a pic up with it on soon.
