Excellent Job! The before and after pictures are great. Good luck in the contest. Maybe I'll get the courage to enter one some time.

Fortune smiled today in the form of bad weather, allowing me to complete the Wirbelwind weathering.

Here are the completed pics:

Spector,

This one is slated for entry in a local contest in October, will see how it does and thanks for the compliment!

Armorchris,

It's Tamiya's 1/35 and was very smooth to put together, only minor problems with the turret halves aligning correctly but easily fixed. Detail on the gunmount was particularly nice.

Nearing the completion on this one. It's off the blocks with all the running gear and tracks on as well as the markings, pioneering tools, and miscellaneous details. The 20mm mount and turret interior have already been weathered. Final stage is to add some scratch marks, weathering with pastels, and a little drybrusing in key areas to finish it of. It will get a coat of dullcote once the scratches are applied and the weathering with the oil pastels will be left unsealed. Looks like I'll be spending a lot of time wearing the mask today. Here's how she looks so far:

EDIT: Completed pics further down the thread for comparison of before/after weathering process.
