Sounds like a good idea, but I think kit selection here is key. I wouldn't want to spend a budket full of cash on a kit I'm going to throw together in a weekend, but on the other hand, I wouldn't want a cheap kit that is going to drive me nuts trying to fix. Basically, a good reliable kit mid price kit, say in the $30-$40 dollar range canadian.

The old Tamiya Panzer II should qualify, I thought about that kit the other day during the MTD.

Wouldn’t that be weekend GB #3?

I figured it would be hard. Maybe even crazy. If we do it, I may put the wife and kids up in a hotel. Wouldn't want the kids picking up new words!

Yeah you are right about that T-34 in a weekend. The forum participated in the poll deciding what kit to build.

I think however that the T-34 is much much simplier than a tiger. It sounds like a good challenge though.

If memory serves me correctly, Fine Scale had an article about building a T-34 (Tamiya?) in a weekend

Having big fingers, I find it difficult to built Braille scale models. What about a Saturday-Sunday build of a 1/35th, no PE other after=market parts? (To allow for more parts in the larger scale). I am not sure if that is practical or not, so I thought I would just throw it out there
