Horus,
Thanks for the tip. Here's a small one for you. I noticed in that the next issue of FSM has an article on winter whitewashing armor!! Very timely.

Zimmerit, zimmerit, zimmerit...now where did I leave that putty knife!!

Tigerman,
as far as i have been told the mid pros did not come in Panzergrey...and oh how i wish they did:)
I am going to do a winter wash scheme, in a Soviet front type setting(this eliminates the need to do zimmerit snce i do not want to mess it up...lol)
I found the pic in my Tigers in combat book :)

Thanks for the compliments!

Hey Horus the kitty is coming along nicely. Have you decided how you're going to paint it yet? Panzergrey? Keep us posted.

Still lookin' real good, Horus. Hope mine goes nearly as well. One cool think is that those turret containers hide the glue seam really well. I would have spent hours working on that and all for nothing!! lol See, you've helped me already!

Are you building it in instruction sheet order?? Got any advice for me yet??

Going to be a busy night tonight. (Dishwasher to install! YaHa...Nothing like a little 1/1 scale work!)

Yes, yes, no place for foul language here!
Save it for when you really need it, like when you lose a part on a HARDWOOD FLOOR!!

I'm still mystified as to where that Ma Duece went...

Geez Horus, those parts aren't that small! How did you lose them? What do you have on the floor in your room, 4-inch shag carpeting or something?

Having said that, the other day I did drop and lose a .50 cal machine gun off of a little 1/144 Japanese Type 90 MBT...ON A HARDWOOD FLOOR! That piece is not that small either, but it must've vaporized when it hit the floor, cuz man, it's gone.
Where could it have gone on a hardwood floor? Must've skittered out the door and off the balcony!

Wow! That's a first---a Sherman helping out a Tiger!! lol. Good luck, Sherman, I hope you have the part(s) he needs.

In the mean time, Horus, try doing the vacuuming with a nylon stocking over the vacuum hose trick. Sometimes, it works. But I seem to have better luck the sooner I do it.

You didn't tell me the part number of the Jordio barrel. Please, please!!

LOL baby tank thats great!
Anywho the parts i need are the very top of the exaust pipes, yhr ones on sorta stilts.. i can make the stilts no prop but the tops may be a bit more tricky!

I already drilled the holes to accept wire and havemade one side but no lid yet, just the posts:(

I've heard of this before.............

Kitties jealous of Tigers Evil [}:)]

Yes, the cat is always a good blame. Mine sits in the window and waits for me to leave a model unattended. Then, there is my 2 1/2 year old daughter Kisses [:X], who would just love to get her hands on what she calls "Baby Tank"

Sorry to hear about the Tiger droppage, Horus! Don't lose hope; there's always a way to fix something in the world of modeling.

Build22 gave you a link for the grilles, but the actual Tamiya product name and number is:

Tiger I Early Production Photo-Etched Grille Set (35217)

Anybody know if there's any difference between the grilles on the early and mid production Tigers? I reckon they're the same.

If there are diferences, there' s still probably 14,000 other PE sets out there for the Mid-Kitty!

Hey Dave ..... you have to quit throwing your model parts on the floor !!!!!!!!!

Blame it on the cat like the rest of us modellers do.

Now which part is it you're missing ? E-mail me a scan of the page that the directions show this part on and I'll see what I have in my parts box. Might just have something that will meet your needs.

Did I mention anything about shooting the cat yet ?

I am very upset right now and i may just stop all together, i am no where good enought to scratch build something this small and detailed :(

Oh well it was fun while it lasted...

DEAKON,
Not really it's ok but after you smooth it out and all it could end up looking oval, hence why i went with the Rubio barrel. Also watch out for the Headlight assembly, very fragile.

Good luck with it!
