Thanks Robert. Outstanding job on your projects and the bases are absolutley show stoppers. Ever think about releasing those under the Franklin Mint as collectors additions?

When I set about to do the Tiger, I wanted it to look as though it were done as a standard camo pattern for Tanks. (Works for real tigers doesn't it?)
As Robert said it is entirely OOB and the only addition are the figures.
The base will have a pathway and tall grass added one day just to add to the whole concept of "Tiger in the tall grass."
I'm really happy with this project and I'm proud to have been able to do this with Robert especailly as a commerative of his 2000. Is serendipity cool or what?

Funny how things kind of work out.
A couple of months ago, Mike (renarts) and I were discussing how it would be a great idea just to do something a little bit different. Soon the idea kind of took off and we set a deadline to have the projects complete. Little did either of us know that I would be hovering around the 2000 post mark at that time.

So I can think of no better way to make my #2000, than by sharing a post with one of the FSM family and friends.

Now the only rules we set for each other was that the kit had to be built OOB but othre than that, anything goes.

I going to save Mike's to last .... it will knock your socks off when you see it. Because of Mike's complex work, I decided to build 2 kits ..... the only way it could be fair.

So without further wasting of space typing .... here we go.

Tamiya's M3 Lee - Army of Northern Virginia Style

The markings are home built to replicate the ANV with the flag being the 13 star "Stars & Bars". Of course the beast needed to named Traveller after R.E. Lee's own mount.

Next on the list ..... it wouldn't be a post from me if there wasn't a Sherman in it. Tamiya's M4A3 Jumbo ala General Sherman's Military Division of the Mississippi trusty steed "Duke"

Markings of of Sherman's Headquarters and the 35 star U.S. Flag

And now Mike's Italeri Tiger ...... and trust me this is something !!!!

I hope you enjoy the pics as much as we did building the models.
Happy Modelling and God Bless Robert
