the doog Thanks very much! It was a  super easy fix,I found some patterns on line and printed them out on copy paper then used elmers glue on the towels and ca on the seat . I had to keep burnishing down the seat cover to get the wrinkles out of the corners until the ca set.

I did get some progress done in spite of having to work ! The dash I kept simple and used some Formula 500 Canopy glue for the gauge lens

I scratched a Hood scoop

Finished the hub caps with MM metalizer stainless then buffed it a bit for a dull beach worn shine

Wrapped up the interior with some dry brushing over the 'wood' grain to give it a little depth

Then a series of dry brushing and pastels to weather the running gear

HA, i totally understand about not wanting to put yourself through more pain! You definately have a knack for picking colors that complement each other.the candy looks great-no blushing or zebra stripes. good even coverage all around.

OK--'fess up! How the heck did you do that seat covering and the beach blankets?! They look AWESOME!

This really is spectacular, TREY--it's great to see work that so obviously shows the modeler's love of creativity!

Thanks S.A.R. .louvres would be cool, but man I can only take so much abuse lol! I had an epic paint failure and had to strip it down and start over. That being said I'm just going with a candy over gold and moving on.

HA i love cherry bombs! i had one on my 1:1 jeep and boy it got your attention. looks good so far. have you thought about maybe putting some louvers on the hood? i think that would look pretty snazzy.

Thanks S.A.R. ! I scratched up some dual exhaust with some old school 'Cherry' bomb mufflers so the underside is a wrap except for weathering.

Thanks Fellas appreciate your input and taking the time to comment! I had decided to leave out the back seat,hey its a Beach goin machine after all. This also gave me an excuse to scratch some items and have some fun with it.

First a go at a cooler

throw in a few beach towels and we're almost ready,going to add a few more smaller items later,maybe a boogie board,ect

also got the running gear mounted and plumbed

nice flathead mill.something you dont see everyday. when you said that you were gonna remove the chrome i was wondering how it would turn out- looks real good. i think it helps focus on the lines of the car as well as the wood  inserts. good job

TD4438 hope the tease is worthy,I'm plugging along with the body. Decided to remove most of the chrome trim to clean up the body and make it less busy. I'm also going to remove the front marker lights and replace them with some smaller units,here one side is done
